Prayer Prin. 3A: Choosing Education in God’s Will C. Pat Lanyon

Review: Last time we studied the most important decision of all life – to whom we join ourselves in marriage. We realized God has an opinion about how we fulfill His institution.

Introduction: Today we discuss God’s Will in deciding how we receive education from God

Prayer Text as in Our Notebook: Now that I have understood better what it means to truly walk worthy of the LORD , I shall be even more enabled to make key decisions concerning Your will for my life. You will moment_by_moment and day_by_day lead me for these CRITICAL CHOICES: I now must make...

2C. According to My Physical Reality: Decisions to ["Walk" in] do GOD'S WILL.

I must make good "life_affecting" decisions, including the major choices of life. I must prepare for and then execute the roles of life: I now consider the choice of my...

Hebrews 10:24-25

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, [25] not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

2 Tim. 2:15

Be diligent to present [study to show, AV] yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

[Personal application: Many interpretations of Scripture made by people are not necessarily righteous in God's eyes, and thus incorrectly believed as binding to themselves or others they would apply it to. (This is called "wrongly dividing the Word of Truth!")
Also for me to apply to myself or me toward others is not right either: I should hold convictions as valuable to me, but something others should see, desire, and ask about in that order, should they choose to take those same convictions for themselves.]

Proverbs 19:27

Cease listening to instruction, my son, And you will stray from the words of knowledge.

Lesson:

God knows where we are when we begin searching for His will. Having a teachable spirit is of paramount importance to Him. We walk step by step seeking to please Him better, and thus we seek to find the place education has in our lives. He not only teaches us through His Word by means of His Spirit, but he uses institutions to train His people.

Under this category of His will are the institutions of 1.) The local church and 2.) The family who determines education and paths that may indeed lead to schools for education. It goes without saying it, we should seek schools that use His Word to teach and train us for our life’s work if it is at all possible. The verses above teach us that we are to seek to know Him through the institution He has created for this age: The Local church, as well as becoming a student throughout all of life.

You can do an extensive study by beginning with the Greek work ekklesia that occurs in 79 verses on the New Testament. Write down all the things you learn and you will be surprised how valuable and important the local church is to God, and why He expects you to be a member and actively participating in it. Here are the verse references: Mt 16:18 Mt 18:17; Ac 2:47; Ac 5:11; Ac 7:38; Ac 8:1; Ac 8:3; Ac 11:22; Ac 11:26; Ac 12:1; Ac 12:5; Ac 13:1; Ac 14:23; Ac 14:27; Ac 15:3; Ac 15:4; Ac 15:22; Ac 18:22; Ac 20:17; Ac 20:28; Ro 16:1; Ro 16:5; Ro 16:23; Ro 16:27; 1Co 1:2; 1Co 4:17; 1Co 6:4; 1Co 10:32; 1Co 11:18; 1Co 11:22; 1Co 12:28; 1Co 14:4; 1Co 14:5; 1Co 14:12; 1Co 14:19; 1Co 14:23; 1Co 14:28; 1Co 14:35; 1Co 15:9; 1Co 16:19; 2Co 1:1; Ga 1:13; Eph 1:22; Eph 3:10; Eph 3:21; Eph 5:23; Eph 5:24; Eph 5:25; Eph 5:27; Eph 5:29; Eph 5:32; Php 3:6; Php 4:15; Col 1:18; Col 1:24; Col 4:15; Col 4:16; 1Th 1:1; 2Th 1:1; 1Ti 3:5; 1Ti 3:15; 1Ti 5:16; 2Ti 4:22; Tit 3:15; Phm 1:2; Heb 2:12; Heb 12:23; Jas 5:14; 1Pe 5:13; 3Jo 1:6; 3Jo 1:9; 3Jo 1:10; Re 2:1; Re 2:8; Re 2:12

Next you should study the best way to come to know God better. For some this will mean deciding and going to an institution of higher learning. For young people: grade school, junior and senior high school and for adults: college, and perhaps even graduate schools. All of these choices are made beginning with parents in the institution of the home. God cares about how we are trained and who is training us, and how much of it we get. We can know His will about this too. We should seek Him to discover what He desires. We can then be able to rightly divide the Word of Truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)

This prayer notebook is specifically designed to aid you in discovering God’s will in choices like these. In the Left column of the notebook under this section write down scripture references that command you to get education. In the Right section write down the events and acts (underneath the text of the verses inspiring you to action) that you have taken in obedience. Take note of how God lead you in making these choices. It will not only help you to make later similar choices yourself– it will also leave you a reference point to assist and show others by seeing how God lead in your life.

Applications:

List the schools you have attended in the past, and events that you may remember as God’s leading or direction.

List people; students and teachers alike who have influenced your life while you were at school. Learn to see God’s hand of providence: Ps 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

List the kinds of education you are lacking in your life right now, and what kind of schooling you need. Include potential places God could lead you in the future.

Ask God to show you through special circumstances His will about these opportunities. Do this by listing in a left column the reason unfavorable to making this choice. In the right column, the favorable reasons. Next see the counsel of the godly to get their take of your considerations.

Pr 11:14 Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.

Pr 12:20 Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, But counselors of peace have joy.

Pr 15:22 Without counsel, plans go awry, But in the multitude of counselors they are established.

Word Study on The Church in the New Testament

See how God intends the Church to function in your life

Mt 16:18 And <1161> I say <3004> (5719) also <2504> unto thee <4671>, That <3754> thou <4771> art <1488> (5748) Peter <4074>, and <2532> upon <1909> this <5026> rock <4073> I will build <3618> (5692) my <3450> church <1577>; and <2532> the gates <4439> of hell <86> shall <2729> <0> not <3756> prevail against <2729> (5692) it <846>.

Mt 18:17 And <1161> if <1437> he shall neglect to hear <3878> (5661) them <846>, tell <2036> (5628) it unto the church <1577>: but <1161> <2532> if <1437> he neglect to hear <3878> (5661) the church <1577>, let him be <2077> (5749) unto thee <4671> as <5618> an heathen man <1482> and <2532> a publican <5057>.

Ac 2:47 Praising <134> (5723) God <2316>, and <2532> having <2192> (5723) favour <5485> with <4314> all <3650> the people <2992>. And <1161> the Lord <2962> added <4369> (5707) to the church <1577> daily <2596> <2250> such as should be saved <4982> (5746).

Ac 5:11 And <2532> great <3173> fear <5401> came <1096> (5633) upon <1909> all <3650> the church <1577>, and <2532> upon <1909> as many as <3956> heard <191> (5723) these things <5023>.

Ac 7:38 This <3778> is he <2076> (5748), that was <1096> (5637) in <1722> the church <1577> in <1722> the wilderness <2048> with <3326> the angel <32> which <3588> spake <2980> (5723) to him <846> in <1722> the mount <3735> Sina <4614>, and <2532> with our <2257> fathers <3962>: who <3739> received <1209> (5662) the lively <2198> (5723) oracles <3051> to give <1325> (5629) unto us <2254>:

Ac 8:1 And <1161> Saul <4569> was <2258> (5713) consenting <4909> (5723) unto his <846> death <336>. And <1161> at <1722> that <1565> time <2250> there was <1096> (5633) a great <3173> persecution <1375> against <1909> the church <1577> which <3588> was at <1722> Jerusalem <2414>; and <5037> they were <1289> <0> all <3956> scattered abroad <1289> (5681) throughout <2596> the regions <5561> of Judaea <2449> and <2532> Samaria <4540>, except <4133> the apostles <652>.

Ac 8:3 As <1161> for Saul <4569>, he made havock <3075> (5711) of the church <1577>, entering into <1531> (5740) every <2596> house <3624>, and haling <4951> (5723) <5037> men <435> and <2532> women <1135> committed <3860> (5707) them to <1519> prison <5438>.

Ac 11:22 Then <1161> tidings <3056> of <4012> these things <846> came <191> (5681) unto <1519> the ears <3775> of the church <1577> which <3588> was in <1722> Jerusalem <2414>: and <2532> they sent forth <1821> (5656) Barnabas <921>, that he should go <1330> (5629) as far as <2193> Antioch <490>.

Ac 11:26 And <2532> when he had found <2147> (5631) him <846>, he brought <71> (5627) him <846> unto <1519> Antioch <490>. And <1161> it came to pass <1096> (5633), that a whole <3650> year <1763> they <846> assembled themselves <4863> (5683) with <1722> the church <1577>, and <2532> taught <1321> (5658) much <2425> people <3793>. And <5037> the disciples <3101> were called <5537> (5658) Christians <5546> first <4412> in <1722> Antioch <490>.

Ac 12:1 Now <1161> about <2596> that <1565> time <2540> Herod <2264> the king <935> stretched forth <1911> (5627) his hands <5495> to vex <2559> (5658) certain <5100> of <575> the church <1577>.

Ac 12:5 Peter <4074> <3303> therefore <3767> was kept <5083> (5712) in <1722> prison <5438>: but <1161> prayer <4335> was <2258> (5713) made <1096> (5740) without ceasing <1618> of <5259> the church <1577> unto <4314> God <2316> for <5228> him <846>.

Ac 13:1 Now <1161> there were <2258> (5713) in <2596> the church <1577> that was <5607> (5752) at <1722> Antioch <490> certain <5100> prophets <4396> and <2532> teachers <1320>; as <5037> Barnabas <921>, and <2532> Simeon <4826> that was called <2564> (5746) Niger <3526>, and <2532> Lucius <3066> of Cyrene <2956>, and <5037> Manaen <3127>, which had been brought up <4939> with Herod <2264> the tetrarch <5076>, and <2532> Saul <4569>.

Ac 14:23 And <1161> when they had ordained <5500> (5660) them <846> elders <4245> in every <2596> church <1577>, and had prayed <4336> (5666) with <3326> fasting <3521>, they commended <3908> (5639) them <846> to the Lord <2962>, on <1519> whom <3739> they believed <4100> (5715).

Ac 14:27 And <1161> when they were come <3854> (5637), and <2532> had gathered <4863> <0> the church <1577> together <4863> (5631), they rehearsed <312> (5656) all <3745> that God <2316> had done <4160> (5656) with <3326> them <846>, and <2532> how <3754> he had opened <455> (5656) the door <2374> of faith <4102> unto the Gentiles <1484>.

Ac 15:3 And <3303> <3767> being brought on their way <4311> (5685) by <5259> the church <1577>, they passed through <1330> (5711) Phenice <5403> and <2532> Samaria <4540>, declaring <1555> (5740) the conversion <1995> of the Gentiles <1484>: and <2532> they caused <4160> (5707) great <3173> joy <5479> unto all <3956> the brethren <80>.

Ac 15:4 And <1161> when they were come <3854> (5637) to <1519> Jerusalem <2419>, they were received <588> (5681) of <5259> the church <1577>, and <2532> of the apostles <652> and <2532> elders <4245>, and <5037> they declared <312> (5656) all things <3745> that God <2316> had done <4160> (5656) with <3326> them <846>.

Ac 15:22 Then <5119> pleased it <1380> (5656) the apostles <652> and <2532> elders <4245>, with <4862> the whole <3650> church <1577>, to send <3992> (5658) chosen <1586> (5671) men <435> of <1537> their own company <846> to <1519> Antioch <490> with <4862> Paul <3972> and <2532> Barnabas <921>; namely, Judas <2455> surnamed <1941> (5746) Barsabas <923>, and <2532> Silas <4609>, chief <2233> (5740) men <435> among <1722> the brethren <80>:

Ac 18:22 And <2532> when he had landed <2718> (5631) at <1519> Caesarea <2542>, and gone up <305> (5631), and <2532> saluted <782> (5666) the church <1577>, he went down <2597> (5627) to <1519> Antioch <490>.

Ac 20:17 And <1161> from <575> Miletus <3399> he sent <3992> (5660) to <1519> Ephesus <2181>, and called <3333> (5668) the elders <4245> of the church <1577>.

Ac 20:28 Take heed <4337> (5720) therefore <3767> unto yourselves <1438>, and <2532> to all <3956> the flock <4168>, over <1722> the which <3739> the Holy <40> Ghost <4151> hath made <5087> (5639) you <5209> overseers <1985>, to feed <4165> (5721) the church <1577> of God <2316>, which <3739> he hath purchased <4046> (5668) with <1223> his own <2398> blood <129>.

Ro 16:1 <1161> I commend <4921> (5719) unto you <5213> Phebe <5402> our <2257> sister <79>, which is <5607> (5752) a servant <1249> of the church <1577> which <3588> is at <1722> Cenchrea <2747>:

Ro 16:5 Likewise <2532> greet the church <1577> that is in <2596> their <846> house <3624>. Salute <782> (5663) my <3450> wellbeloved <27> Epaenetus <1866>, who <3739> is <2076> (5748) the firstfruits <536> of Achaia <882> unto <1519> Christ <5547>.

Ro 16:23 Gaius <1050> mine <3450> host <3581>, and <2532> of the whole <3650> church <1577>, saluteth <782> (5736) you <5209>. Erastus <2037> the chamberlain <3623> of the city <4172> saluteth <782> (5736) you <5209>, and <2532> Quartus <2890> a brother <80>.

Ro 16:27 To God <2316> only <3441> wise <4680>, be glory <1391> through <1223> Jesus <2424> Christ <5547> for <1519> ever <165>. Amen <281>. <<Written <1125> (5648) to <4314> the Romans <4514> from <575> Corinthus <2882>, and sent by <1223> Phebe <5402> servant <1249> of the church <1577> at <1722> Cenchrea <2747>.>>

1Co 1:2 Unto the church <1577> of God <2316> which <3588> is <5607> (5752) at <1722> Corinth <2882>, to them that are sanctified <37> (5772) in <1722> Christ <5547> Jesus <2424>, called <2822> to be saints <40>, with <4862> all <3956> that in <1722> every <3956> place <5117> call upon <1941> (5734) the name <3686> of Jesus <2424> Christ <5547> our <2257> Lord <2962>, both <5037> theirs <846> and <2532> ours <2257>:

1Co 4:17 For <1223> <0> this <5124> cause <1223> have I sent <3992> (5656) unto you <5213> Timotheus <5095>, who <3739> is <2076> (5748) my <3450> beloved <27> son <5043>, and <2532> faithful <4103> in <1722> the Lord <2962>, who <3739> shall bring <363> <0> you <5209> into remembrance <363> (5692) of my <3450> ways <3598> which <3588> be in <1722> Christ <5547>, as <2531> I teach <1321> (5719) every where <3837> in <1722> every <3956> church <1577>.

1Co 6:4 If <1437> then <3303> <3767> ye have <2192> (5725) judgments <2922> of things pertaining to this life <982>, set <2523> (5719) them <5128> to judge who are least esteemed <1848> (5772) in <1722> the church <1577>.

1Co 10:32 Give <1096> (5737) none offence <677>, neither <2532> to the Jews <2453>, nor <2532> to the Gentiles <1672>, nor <2532> to the church <1577> of God <2316>:

1Co 11:18 For <1063> <3303> first of all <4412>, when ye <5216> come together <4905> (5740) in <1722> the church <1577>, I hear <191> (5719) that there be <5225> (5721) divisions <4978> among <1722> you <5213>; and <2532> I partly <3313> believe <4100> (5719) it <5100>.

1Co 11:22 What <1063>? have ye <2192> (5719) not <3378> houses <3614> to eat <2068> (5721) and <2532> to drink <4095> (5721) in <1519>? or <2228> despise ye <2706> (5719) the church <1577> of God <2316>, and <2532> shame <2617> (5719) them that have <2192> (5723) not <3361>? What <5101> shall I say <2036> (5632) to you <5213>? shall I praise <1867> (5661) you <5209> in <1722> this <5129>? I praise <1867> (5719) you not <3756>.

1Co 12:28 And <2532> <3739> God <2316> hath set <5087> (5639) some <3303> in <1722> the church <1577>, first <4412> apostles <652>, secondarily <1208> prophets <4396>, thirdly <5154> teachers <1320>, after that <1899> miracles <1411>, then <1534> gifts <5486> of healings <2386>, helps <484>, governments <2941>, diversities <1085> of tongues <1100>.

1Co 14:4 He that speaketh <2980> (5723) in an unknown tongue <1100> edifieth <3618> (5719) himself <1438>; but <1161> he that prophesieth <4395> (5723) edifieth <3618> (5719) the church <1577>.

1Co 14:5 <1161> I would <2309> (5719) that ye <5209> all <3956> spake <2980> (5721) with tongues <1100>, but <1161> rather <3123> that <2443> ye prophesied <4395> (5725): for <1063> greater <3187> is he that prophesieth <4395> (5723) than <2228> he that speaketh <2980> (5723) with tongues <1100>, except <1622> <1508> he interpret <1329> (5725), that <2443> the church <1577> may receive <2983> (5632) edifying <3619>.

1Co 14:12 Even <2532> so <3779> ye <5210>, forasmuch as <1893> ye are <2075> (5748) zealous <2207> of spiritual <4151> gifts, seek <2212> (5720) that <2443> ye may excel <4052> (5725) to <4314> the edifying <3619> of the church <1577>.

1Co 14:19 Yet <235> in <1722> the church <1577> I had rather <2309> (5719) speak <2980> (5658) five <4002> words <3056> with <1223> my <3450> understanding <3563>, that <2443> by my voice I might teach <2727> (5661) others <243> also <2532>, than <2228> ten thousand <3463> words <3056> in <1722> an unknown tongue <1100>.

1Co 14:23 If <1437> therefore <3767> the whole <3650> church <1577> be come together <4905> (5632) into <1909> one place <846>, and <2532> all <3956> speak <2980> (5725) with tongues <1100>, and <1161> there come in <1525> (5632) those that are unlearned <2399>, or <2228> unbelievers <571>, will they <2046> <0> not <3756> say <2046> (5692) that <3754> ye are mad <3105> (5736)?

1Co 14:28 But <1161> if <3362> <0> there be <5600> (5753) no <3362> interpreter <1328>, let him keep silence <4601> (5720) in <1722> the church <1577>; and <1161> let him speak <2980> (5720) to himself <1438>, and <2532> to God <2316>.

1Co 14:35 And <1161> if <1487> they will <2309> (5719) learn <3129> (5629) any thing <5100>, let them ask <1905> (5720) their <2398> husbands <435> at <1722> home <3624>: for <1063> it is <2076> (5748) a shame <149> for women <1135> to speak <2980> (5721) in <1722> the church <1577>.

1Co 15:9 For <1063> I <1473> am <1510> (5748) the least <1646> of the apostles <652>, that <3739> am <1510> (5748) not <3756> meet <2425> to be called <2564> (5745) an apostle <652>, because <1360> I persecuted <1377> (5656) the church <1577> of God <2316>.

1Co 16:19 The churches <1577> of Asia <773> salute <782> (5736) you <5209>. Aquila <207> and <2532> Priscilla <4252> salute <782> (5736) you <5209> much <4183> in <1722> the Lord <2962>, with <4862> the church <1577> that is in <2596> their <846> house <3624>.

2Co 1:1 Paul <3972>, an apostle <652> of Jesus <2424> Christ <5547> by <1223> the will <2307> of God <2316>, and <2532> Timothy <5095> our brother <80>, unto the church <1577> of God <2316> which <3588> is <5607> (5752) at <1722> Corinth <2882>, with <4862> all <3956> the saints <40> which <3588> are <5607> (5752) in <1722> all <3650> Achaia <882>:

Ga 1:13 For <1063> ye have heard <191> (5656) of my <1699> conversation <391> in time past <4218> in <1722> the Jews' religion <2454>, how that <3754> beyond <2596> measure <5236> I persecuted <1377> (5707) the church <1577> of God <2316>, and <2532> wasted <4199> (5707) it <846>:

Eph 1:22 And <2532> hath put <5293> (5656) all <3956> things under <5259> his <846> feet <4228>, and <2532> gave <1325> (5656) him <846> to be the head <2776> over <5228> all <3956> things to the church <1577>,

Eph 3:10 To the intent that <2443> now <3568> unto the principalities <746> and <2532> powers <1849> in <1722> heavenly <2032> places might be known <1107> (5686) by <1223> the church <1577> the manifold <4182> wisdom <4678> of God <2316>,

Eph 3:21 Unto him <846> be glory <1391> in <1722> the church <1577> by <1722> Christ <5547> Jesus <2424> throughout <1519> all <3956> ages <1074>, world <165> without end <165>. Amen <281>.

Eph 5:23 For <3754> the husband <435> is <2076> (5748) the head <2776> of the wife <1135>, even <2532> as <5613> Christ <5547> is the head <2776> of the church <1577>: and <2532> he <846> is <2076> (5748) the saviour <4990> of the body <4983>.

Eph 5:24 Therefore <235> as <5618> the church <1577> is subject <5293> (5743) unto Christ <5547>, so <3779> <2532> let the wives <1135> be to their own <2398> husbands <435> in <1722> every thing <3956>.

Eph 5:25 Husbands <435>, love <25> (5720) your <1438> wives <1135>, even as <2531> Christ <5547> also <2532> loved <25> (5656) the church <1577>, and <2532> gave <3860> (5656) himself <1438> for <5228> it <846>;

Eph 5:27 That <2443> he might present <3936> (5661) it <846> to himself <1438> a glorious <1741> church <1577>, not <3361> having <2192> (5723) spot <4696>, or <2228> wrinkle <4512>, or <2228> any <5100> such thing <5108>; but <235> that <2443> it should be <5600> (5753) holy <40> and <2532> without blemish <299>.

Eph 5:29 For <1063> no man <3762> ever yet <4218> hated <3404> (5656) his own <1438> flesh <4561>; but <235> nourisheth <1625> (5719) and <2532> cherisheth <2282> (5719) it <846>, even as <2531> <2532> the Lord <2962> the church <1577>:

Eph 5:32 This <5124> is <2076> (5748) a great <3173> mystery <3466>: but <1161> I <1473> speak <3004> (5719) concerning <1519> Christ <5547> and <1519> <2532> the church <1577>.

Php 3:6 Concerning <2596> zeal <2205>, persecuting <1377> (5723) the church <1577>; touching <2596> the righteousness <1343> which <3588> is in <1722> the law <3551>, <1096> (5637) blameless <273>.

Php 4:15 Now <1161> ye <5210> Philippians <5374> know <1492> (5758) also <2532>, that <3754> in <1722> the beginning <746> of the gospel <2098>, when <3753> I departed <1831> (5627) from <575> Macedonia <3109>, no <3762> church <1577> communicated with <2841> (5656) me <3427> as <1519> concerning <3056> giving <1394> and <2532> receiving <3028>, but <1508> ye <5210> only <3441>.

Col 1:18 And <2532> he <846> is <2076> (5748) the head <2776> of the body <4983>, the church <1577>: who <3739> is <2076> (5748) the beginning <746>, the firstborn <4416> from <1537> the dead <3498>; that <2443> in <1722> all <3956> things he <846> might have <1096> (5638) the preeminence <4409> (5723).

Col 1:24 Who <3739> now <3568> rejoice <5463> (5719) in <1722> my <3450> sufferings <3804> for <5228> you <5216>, and <2532> fill up <466> (5719) that which is behind <5303> of the afflictions <2347> of Christ <5547> in <1722> my <3450> flesh <4561> for <5228> <0> his <846> body's <4983> sake <5228>, which is <3603> (5748) the church <1577>:

Col 4:15 Salute <782> (5663) the brethren <80> which are in <1722> Laodicea <2993>, and <2532> Nymphas <3564>, and <2532> the church <1577> which is in <2596> his <846> house <3624>.

Col 4:16 And <2532> when <3752> this epistle <1992> is read <314> (5686) among <3844> you <5213>, cause <4160> (5657) that <2443> it be read <314> (5686) also <2532> in <1722> the church <1577> of the Laodiceans <2994>; and <2532> that <2443> ye <5210> <314> <0> likewise <2532> read <314> (5632) the epistle from <1537> Laodicea <2993>.

1Th 1:1 Paul <3972>, and <2532> Silvanus <4610>, and <2532> Timotheus <5095>, unto the church <1577> of the Thessalonians <2331> which is in <1722> God <2316> the Father <3962> and <2532> in the Lord <2962> Jesus <2424> Christ <5547>: Grace <5485> be unto you <5213>, and <2532> peace <1515>, from <575> God <2316> our <2257> Father <3962>, and <2532> the Lord <2962> Jesus <2424> Christ <5547>.

2Th 1:1 Paul <3972>, and <2532> Silvanus <4610>, and <2532> Timotheus <5095>, unto the church <1577> of the Thessalonians <2331> in <1722> God <2316> our <2257> Father <3962> and <2532> the Lord <2962> Jesus <2424> Christ <5547>:

1Ti 3:5 (For <1161> if a man <1536> know <1492> <0> not <3756> how <1492> (5758) to rule <4291> (5629) his own <2398> house <3624>, how <4459> shall he take care of <1959> (5695) the church <1577> of God <2316>?)

1Ti 3:15 But <1161> if <1437> I tarry long <1019> (5725), that <2443> thou mayest know <1492> (5762) how <4459> thou oughtest <1163> (5748) to behave thyself <390> (5745) in <1722> the house <3624> of God <2316>, which <3748> is <2076> (5748) the church <1577> of the living <2198> (5723) God <2316>, the pillar <4769> and <2532> ground <1477> of the truth <225>.

1Ti 5:16 If any <1536> man <4103> or <2228> woman that believeth <4103> have <2192> (5719) widows <5503>, let them relieve <1884> (5720) them <846>, and <2532> let <916> <0> not <3361> the church <1577> be charged <916> (5744); that <2443> it may relieve <1884> (5661) them that are widows <5503> indeed <3689>.

2Ti 4:22 The Lord <2962> Jesus <2424> Christ <5547> be with <3326> thy <4675> spirit <4151>. Grace <5485> be with <3326> you <5216>. Amen <281>. <<The second <1208> epistle unto <4314> Timotheus <5095>, ordained <5500> (5685) the first <4413> bishop <1985> of the church <1577> of the Ephesians <2180>, was written <1125> (5648) from <575> Rome <4516>, when <3753> Paul <3972> was brought before <3936> (5627) Nero <3505> <2541> the second <1537> <1208> time <2540>.>>

Tit 3:15 All <3956> that are with <3326> me <1700> salute <782> (5736) thee <4571>. Greet <782> (5663) them that love <5368> (5723) us <2248> in <1722> the faith <4102>. Grace <5485> be with <3326> you <5216> all <3956>. Amen <281>. <<It was written <1125> (5648) to <4314> Titus <5103>, ordained <5500> (5685) the first <4413> bishop <1985> of the church <1577> of the Cretians <2912>, from <575> Nicopolis <3533> of Macedonia <3109>.>>

Phm 1:2 And <2532> to our beloved <27> Apphia <682>, and <2532> Archippus <751> our <2257> fellowsoldier <4961>, and <2532> to the church <1577> in <2596> thy <4675> house <3624>:

Heb 2:12 Saying <3004> (5723), I will declare <518> (5692) thy <4675> name <3686> unto my <3450> brethren <80>, in <1722> the midst <3319> of the church <1577> will I sing praise <5214> (5692) unto thee <4571>.

Heb 12:23 To the general assembly <3831> and <2532> church <1577> of the firstborn <4416>, which are written <583> (5772) in <1722> heaven <3772>, and <2532> to God <2316> the Judge <2923> of all <3956>, and <2532> to the spirits <4151> of just men <1342> made perfect <5048> (5772),

Jas 5:14 Is <770> <0> any <5100> sick <770> (5719) among <1722> you <5213>? let him call <4341> (5663) for the elders <4245> of the church <1577>; and <2532> let them pray <4336> (5663) over <1909> him <846>, anointing <218> (5660) him <846> with oil <1637> in <1722> the name <3686> of the Lord <2962>:

1Pe 5:13 The church that is at <1722> Babylon <897>, elected together with <4899> you, saluteth <782> (5736) you <5209>; and <2532> so doth Marcus <3138> my <3450> son <5207>.

3Jo 1:6 Which <3739> have borne witness <3140> (5656) of thy <4675> charity <26> before <1799> the church <1577>: whom <3739> if thou bring forward on their journey <4311> (5660) after <516> <0> a godly <2316> sort <516>, thou shalt do <4160> (5692) well <2573>:

3Jo 1:9 I wrote <1125> (5656) unto the church <1577>: but <235> Diotrephes <1361>, who <3588> loveth to have the preeminence <5383> (5723) among them <846>, receiveth <1926> (5736) us <2248> not <3756>.

3Jo 1:10 Wherefore <1223> <5124>, if <1437> I come <2064> (5632), I will remember <5279> (5692) his <846> deeds <2041> which <3739> he doeth <4160> (5719), prating against <5396> (5723) us <2248> with malicious <4190> words <3056>: and <2532> not <3361> content <714> (5746) therewith <1909> <5125>, neither <3777> doth <1926> <0> he himself <846> receive <1926> (5736) the brethren <80>, and <2532> forbiddeth <2967> (5719) them that would <1014> (5740), and <2532> casteth <1544> (5719) them out of <1537> the church <1577>.
