Does God Care? CD

The Does God Care CD was sent to us in 2005 in our Christmas correspondence, and we found it to be such a good composition and evangelistic concept, we prepared the following listener's guide to accompany it. We use it in Nursing Home Ministry, and Social Interaction with Family and Friends. We are providing this page in conjunction with the CDs we are distributing.

Does God Care CD Listener's Guide

Greetings!

Dear Friend,

Please find enclosed with this letter a unique kind of "CD" you perhaps may have never experienced before. It is a Bible-quoting and gospel-song composition described as pointing "the listener to Jesus as the only place to go in the face of adversity, pain, fear and discouragement." It is an excellent mixture of some of the most beloved and important verses of the Bible and takes less, as you can see, than 32 minutes to listen.

I recommend that you: take 32 minutes of your life once this week, eliminate all potential distractions and follow along with the listener’s guide below. Fill in the missing blanks (answers in endnotes) to aid your listening with understanding. You will find the composition a very welcome companion for your life– something to come back and experience again and again because of the supernatural value of the Bible (see Psalm 1:1-3 and Joshua 1:8) and the effect of "songs, hymns and spiritual songs" (Col 3:16) that cause us to "sing with grace in our hearts to the Lord."

We hope you will share this with someone you love after you’ve seen it. At the end of this study you will find the source information, if you find it valuable enough, to order more.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of ________________2 for his name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they ______________3 me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely _____________ _____ ____________ 4 shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

(3:34) Song: God Will Take Care of You (Altar of Praise)

Matthew 6 : 25-34 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father ______________ 5 them. Are ye not much better than they?

27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29 And yet I say unto you, That even ___________________ 6 in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly ___________ 7 knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the _______________ 8 of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

(1:30) Song: I'm With You (Stutzman Family)

Romans 8: 28 And we know that all things work together for __________ 9 to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than ______________ 10 through him that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Isaiah 40: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their ______________ 11; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 41: 10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

2 Corinthians 1: 3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

(4:05) Song: Safe In The Arms of Jesus (Altar of Praise)

Hebrews 4 : 14 Seeing then that we have a great _________ ___________ 12, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points ______________ 13 like as we are, yet without sin.

16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Philippians 4 : 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by _____________ 14 and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the _____________ 15 of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, ___________ 16 on these things.

1 Peter 5 : 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may ___________ 17 you in due time:

7 Casting all your care upon him; for he __________  for you.18

Psalm 34 : 15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the ______________ 19, and his ears are open unto their cry.

16 The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

Romans 5 : 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet ___________ 21 , Christ died for us.

Ephesians 2 :4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath _____________ 22 us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his __________ 23 in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of __________ 24, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should ________ 25 in them.

(2:58) Song: I Will Sing the Wondrous Story (Garment of Praise)

John 14 : 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a ___________ 26 for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

1 Corinthians 15 : 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be ___________ 27 ,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on _________________ 28 .

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the ______________ 29 through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Does God Care?

This NEW CD Gospel Tract is a combination of scripture and song. It points the listener to Jesus as the only place to go in the face of adversity, pain, fear and discouragement. "Does God Care" will encourage the Christian and lead the sinner to Jesus Christ. All scripture is from the King James Version and all of the songs are acappella.

This Listener’s Study Guide was designed to accompany the cd gospel tract, "Does God Care?", It is prepared by C. Pat Lanyon. My family and I attend Truth Baptist Church, and we invite you to join us for any service, Sundays 8:30 am or 11 am or 6 pm or Wednesdays 7 pm. The church phone in South Windsor, CT is 860-289-8976. www.truthbaptistchurch.org
