A Short Message to
the Beloved Romanians in
the Jehovah Witness Organization
Recently the whole world watched as the prophecy of Harold Camping was proven
false. Do you recognize that name? Mr. Camping is the American preacher who
predicted that the rapture would take place on May 21, 2011 at 1800. Now he is
saying that he made a mistake. Mr. Camping now says that on that Saturday there
was a "spiritual judgment" and that the actual judgment will take place on
October 21, 2011. Many sincere believers had put their faith in the words of a
man, even though the Bible clearly teaches that no one knows the day nor the
hour of the rapture. Mr. Camping is a false prophet and his false prophecy is
the proof.
Dear friend, the organization in which you trust has a history of failed
prophecies, just like Mr. Camping's. The purpose of this flyer is to encourage
you to look objectively at the facts and to reconsider the direction of your
life. Otherwise you too will be disappointed, just like those disciples of Mr.
Camping who put their trust in teachings which contradicted the Bible.
False Prophecies
Get your Bible and read Deu 18:22. Jehovah says that if a prophet speaks and
the word does not come true, he is a false prophet, do not fear him. Now please
consider the long history of false prophecies published by the Jehovah Witness
organization for more than 100 years. 1892 – Watchtower , Jan.25, p.1355, "The
date of the close of that battle is definitely marked in Scripture as October,
1914". 1918 – Studies, vol. 7 (The Finished Mystery), "The Churches Cease to
Be…culminating in 1918, to remove it with a stroke or plague of erroneous
doctrines and deeds Divinely permitted". 1920 – Millions Now Living Will Never
Die, "As we have heretofore stated, the great jubilee cycle is due to begin in
1925. …Therefore we may confidently expect that 1925 will mark the return of
Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the faithful prophets of old." None of these
prophecies happened. Leaders tried to explain why, but the truth is that
prophecies were made which did not come true. 1923 – Watchtower, March 1, "The
Scriptures show that his (the Lord's) second presence was due in 1874". When the
leaders of the Jehovah Witness's saw that their predictions continued to fail,
they had to find an explanation. That explanation was parallel to Mr. Camping's
explanation. "To understand the events concerning the Lord's second presence
from 1874 to 1914 requires one to be spiritually minded", Creation, 1927, page
291. Please re-read Deu 18:22.
The false prophecy that I experienced was the prediction that the battle of
Armageddon would take place in the fall of 1975. That was the year I graduated
high school. I remember the disappointment I had at the thought that I may not
live much longer. I was not in the Jehovah's Witness organization, but the
prophecy was so widely published that we all heard about it.
Changing Doctrines
One question that the Watchtower addressed was the possibility of men of
Sodom being resurrected. Please note the changing response of the Jehovah
Witness organization: Yes, Watchtower July 1879; No, Watchtower June 1952; Yes,
Watchtower August 1965; No, Watchtower June 1988; Yes, "You can live forever in
paradise on earth" 1982; No, "You can live forever in paradise on earth" 1989.
Can you trust a religious system that keeps changing it's teaching?
Another change, which is also a false prophecy, was the teaching that the
generation of 1914 will not die before God's judgment must be executed. That
doctrine was emphasized in the publisher information section of every Awake
booklet until November 8, 1995. Then they changed it.
Spiritual Authority
Friend, Jehovah has spoken to us through His Word. The only source of
information about the true nature of spiritual matters is the Bible. Therefore,
let me share with you a few verses in the Bible that teach us who Jehovah really
is.
In my copy of the New World Translation, it says in John 12:41, "Isaiah said
these things because he saw his glory, and he spoke about him." In the context,
the words 'his' and 'him' refer to Jesus, mentioned in verse 36. When did Isaiah
see the glory of Jesus? The cross reference in the NWT is correct in sending the
reader to Isaiah 6:1. Friend, Jesus Christ is Jehovah God!
