        d. Queen Removed - 1 Kings 15:13,

manuscripts all say 35 and 36 years as the text indicates

            2 Chronicles 15:16

This of course is accepted, but poses a bit of difficulty as

Baasha began his reign in the 3rd year of Asa and

reigned 24 years which would take him up to Asa’s 26th

year. Asa’s reign begins when he is about 16 years old in

926 B.C. His grandfather, Rehoboam was born in 986

B.C. putting Asa’s birth around 942 B.C.  One could

conjecture that Asa began a co-regency 10 years earlier

than the start of his reign, around 936 B.C. He would

only be about 6 years old, but when one considers that

Joash and Joiash began their reigns at age 7 and 8,

this possibility is apparent.
