June 29th, 1980 - After knocking on over 10,000 doors, the church was launched on June 29, 1980, with an attendance of six people and one dog besides four Rowleys. The service was held at Sly School in East Hartford, where the church continued to meet for some time.

June 1st, 1980 - Three seminary students leave Chattanooga, TN, to assist a 30 day church planting plan organized by Pastor Rowley in which approximately 10,000 of the 16,000 households of East Hartford were visited two-by-two. Each team gave out invitations to attend the "First Service" of Truth Baptist Church.
The Central Baptist Church in Southington, with Jim Townsley, Pastor, provided housing for the team who commuted 5 days each week doing visitation.

June 29, 1980 - The first service was held at the now demolished Slye Elementary School. A total of 25 (mostly local attendees) came for the 11:00 am service, including the chief of Police and the Fire Marshall. One person, a young mother of two, responded for salvation at the conclusion of that service. 

July 6, 1980, the following week, with an attendance of six people and one dog besides four Rowleys, was the second service, also at Slye School where three of the current charter members attended. Soon afterward one of the school janitors began attending. The church met at this school for nearly 3 years before finding 784 Main Street, a rental, and the most stable Sunday meeting place until their ground breaking service 4 years later.

June 1987 - Groundbreaking service to begin construction on a church building at 60 Burnham Street in South Windsor.

December 31st, 1989 - On the last Sunday in 1989, Truth Baptist Church held our first service in the newly completed building!

Fall 2001 - Occupancy permit received to begin using our large addition to the original building, providing us with a gym and many new classrooms! The Lord graciously supplied all our needs enabling the church to build each of our facilities debt free.

Fall 2016 - Renovations made to expand our church lobby!

Spring 2017 - Keith Tower and Eli Rodriguez join our pastoral staff.
