Mary in Haiti - Home Address: P.O. Box 2328; Mansfield, OH 44905 Phone-419-564-2846 Mission Address: Dexia 4 #51 Les Cayes Haiti 509-463-01641 Dear Friends: 4 Month Report 2014 Oct 1 I came to Haiti with a vision to live among the people, by means of my small social security income, to go from house to house sharing the gospel "bon nouve'l" with the result that God would be glorified in Haiti. I am thankful for a place to stay with Haitian Pastor Jean Francois Alcena and family 3 months and Haitian Pastor Jean Wilfrid Prince and family 1 month and provision of translator and transportation through Pastor Prince. Pastor Prince is a strong dedicated pastor who has built up his ministry area with a lot of sacrifice and very little resources. Also with a call to evangelism, God has blessed us as a ministry team. The Lord has also blessed us with a visitation team that includes three young people. One named Marco Voltaire also speaks English , translates for me and interprets church services for me. We saw 59 decisions for Christ in July, 94 in August and 50 in September. We are part of GVDT (Groupe Les Visionaires Du Dernier Temps or Group of the dreamers of the last time, an organization of pastors and missionaries promoting evangelism. We have set up a circuit of visitation to communities of the churches represented as follows: 1. Tuesday: Pastor Lruis Jean Quenolt - Va Chon lower mountain church community 2. Wednesday: Pastor Marcson Aubourg - Berlelte - higher mountain church community 3. Thursday: Pastor Alcena - Torbeck church community 4. Friday: Pastor Prince - Houck and surrounding Rural church community 5. Saturday: Pastor Ore Ius Clermilus and Wesleyan Church - Torbeck community Also GVDT has had training conferences and sent out evangelism teams. 6. Sister Maggie Mountain Mission Duclair 7. Jagarea 8. ile avache. After 3 months of being involved here, I felt led of the Lord to join the church in which Pastor Prince pastors - Assemblee les rachetee de Jesus Christ de Houck/Torbeck (Assembly of the Redeemed of Jesus Christ of Houck/Torbeck) which ministers to small communities 2-10 miles from the main road. A voodoo community is nearby. We have led 14 of them to the Lord. This week we saw victory with a woman who was ill and said she would come to Christ after she saw voodoo doctor. I said, "God is greater. Come to God and receive Christ and then we will pray for you concerning the illness." She received Christ and was relieved from her illness. In October, there will be a building program to finish structure of the church building which also serves as a hospital for hurting people. We have recently seen a young man named Johnney and a young lady named Jenna delivered from demons that would not allow them to eat. They now live for the Lord and are part of our visitation team. We are praying for funds to help them go back to school. This is one of the churches that Bethel Baptist Church, Savannah, OH, Haiti Mission Team put a roof on. I am excited to share my resources in this community through this local church. As we visit people we hear of needs: 1. Request for Bibles (12 Haitian Creole Bibles I brought here have been distributed.) 2. Request for clothes to wear to church 3. Request for money/food 4. Request for help to send children to school 5. Request to fix thatched roofs as it rains hard every 2-3 days We try to meet the most serious needs. Other Prayer Requests * I am facing obstacles as I am trying to get a permit to stay in Haiti after 3 months. * Also please pray for Lundi Pedor a 25 year old young man who was shot in Port au Prince leaving him paralyzed. He lives in the mountains. We pray for him and want to get him to a doctor. He has not seen a doctor for 2 year[s] since he was injured. As we share what God gives us to help others, we hope to encourage them to help others also. As each one helps one, we pray that this area will be a light that shines around the world. Please pray for us,. Mary and Haitian Team for Christ Mary Davis /s/ edit:cpl
