Ohio April 2014, I have been in Haiti for nearly 2 years with trips back to visit family every June and Christmas and will be back home this June. In Haiti, I have served God as an evangelist with Haitian pastor translator , Pastor Prince Jean Wilfrid sharing the “Bon Nouvel” house to house, hut to hut and in schools. God has so blessed us with over 400 decisions for Christ in 2014 and 400 in 2015. We speak in churches to encourage them in evangelism. It has been said that evangelism is “one beggar telling another beggar where he found bread.” Upon request we accompany the pastor to reach his community for Christ, to plant or build his church. We are presently doing this for church plants in Chantel and Ducis. We praise the Lord as we see the people who have made decisions with us attending church. In Chantel they were willing to sit on the ground until we provided them with pews. As we go we see the struggles of pastors and churches in Haiti and want to help them. We are also contributing to the start of a church in Bomand near Jeremie where there are no other churches in their area. The people are so excited with the start of the church there. When the church is finished they want to build a school for their children. With a US contribution of $320US we were able to contribute to the funeral cost of the pastor’s son in Bomand as well as to provide paint and cement for 3 other church restoration projects. Praise the Lord. Web: http://www.aprayernotebook.net/each1helps1/album/ With the theme of Haitians Helping Haitians, I am contacting US Haitian churches to help the Church in Haiti. Please pray with me that God would bless His people in Haiti as they look to Him with all their heart. To God be the Glory, Mary and Haitian Team Sent from Windows Mail 2/27 15 decisions for Christ. A pastor friend gave a church he founded to me in mountain [community] to "mother"[--probably to assist him in spiritual ministry.] 3/5 Dear Friends and Family, Last Saturday, Pastor Prince preached a fiery message, “I can’t stop thanking Him” which was broadcast on Radio Lumiere. On Sunday, a young mother abandoned a baby under a tree nearby and we have been caring for her this week; we call her ”Rose”. Also the church here has cooperated together to raise money and paint the church as a church family project. And yes, Pastor Prince and I do praise the Lord for decisions for Christ in 2016: January: 23; February: 44. We also thank Him for blessing us in travel by motorcycle, along the sea, over many rough roads, and into the mountains with safety and protection. We thank Him also for the many opportunities He has given us which include • to go with Pastor Olus, who is planting a church on the mountain side of Chantel where last week on a return visit, an elderly man received Christ; • to go with Pastor St. John, who is planting a church past Beraud and Ducis, in Castin where 11 children gathered to hear the gospel with the wordless book of colors, and accepted Christ; • for flexibility when Pastor Branche d’ Homme called and asked us to go on evangelism with him in Coteaux, along the sea, Tuesday to a very poor community where he was born, where 6 people including a married couple prayed to receive Christ and a family asked us to return next Tuesday, when they would be ready to make a decision; • and to go deep in the mountains to a church in Carré in Camp Perrin, in which the founder, Pastor Colbert of Beraud gave to me to “Mother” where on evangelism Wednesday with Pastor Hypolyte and 25 members, there was much witness and 10 young people prayed to receive Christ as their Savior. Praise the Lord, “We cannot stop thanking Him.” Please pray for the Church in Haiti and that many people will turn to God with their whole heart and want to share their most precious thing - their faith in Christ with others. Mary and Haitian Team. To God Be the Glory. 3/19 9:11pm, "Praying all is well with you. A lady who knew she needed to be saved accepted Christ plus 2 boys. Also: the father of pastor we work with rededicated his life to Him. 4/9 PRAISE THE LORD FOR ALL HIS BLESSINGS. Tuesday we went further north up the sea coast of the south department 2 hours away. The paved road turned into rock and dirt with slight incline into mountain. As we were sharing the gospel people gathered. They said they never heard it that way before. Could we come and start a church there? Please pray with us for this community of Langisre, There are two churches there. We can bring Bible teaching. A young man and another woman with [a] family of 6 children and another group of 6 children prayed to receive Christ. We told them we would come back next Tuesday, after 3 days in Port au Prince this weekend. Lord willing we go to Camp Perrin to go on evangelism with my mountain church on Wednesday and with St John area church on Friday. We pray for God’s strength and His will this next week. Mary 4/16 We encouraged 4 churches to share the Gospel last week. We were rained out for 2 days, so instead we had "prayer for healing" all received, Praise the Lord! On Friday 2 elder plus one more received Christ! Mary 8/6 I pray you are well. We start to evangelize next week and discipleship class in 2 churches to train new converts. I have my own room - [it's] very good. 8/14 I pray you are all fine. Miss you too. God blessed with 10 decisions & 1 rededication. I suffer from sun stroke. 4 churches are to start discipleship class. --Mary. 8/24 Dear friends and family, I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and pray His blessings be on you. I am very privileged to be back with dear people of Haiti, to see their burden and pray to be used as a vessel to help them. After praying for God’s direction, I see it. I came to share the gospel door to door. But what then? Though the people struggle to survive, day to day, there are many people of great faith. They pray and worship and praise and fast and sing and shout and dance in their faith, but biblical instruction is limited. I thank Pastor Rob Kurtz for advising to contact missionaries already in Haiti. I thank Missionary Rodney Fitzsimmons for responding and sending a copy of his 16 lesson discipleship training in creole. Every church pastor that hears about it wants to take their members through it. In one week 4 churches are committed. Our plan is to take the people of the church through the discipleship class so they might be prepared to take new believers through class individually and so build the church. This is God’s plan wherever we are and I trust Him to bless it. There is a cost to copy lessons of $70 US per 100 17 page lessons. We pray to give lessons as the churches request them. If you would like to contribute, please [call 860-655-9000, Patrick Lanyon will give you the address]. We pray for more laborers to the field. Praise the Lord In Christ, Mary Davis 10/26 Praise the Lord! He blessed us to survive the aprox. 12 hour Oct. 4 hurricane and flooding rain last Friday. Though we lost our church, where people had gathered for safety, roofs off where we live, and the roof and front of church fell on the ministry motorcycle, we were kept safe. Many trees that supplied the people with food fell or tops were taken in the tempest. Pastor Prince used the tin that came off the church roof to replace the roof on the 2 rooms where he, his wife and 5 children live and to rebuild 1/2 the church roof to make a place to worship. The front is full of rubble. Praise the Lord, God led another missionary, Jeff and Cindi Farber, whom Pastor Prince translates for, to give him the money to buy another ministry motorcycle because they believe in our ministry. We have been teaching from Job: “The LORD giveth and the LORD taketh away. Blessed be the name of the LORD.” “Though He slay me yet will I trust in Him.” “Gird up your loins like a man” - in steadfast faith in God; and Revival - Let us come before Him broken - of our will so He can work His sovereign will through us and fill us to overflowing with his life-giving Holy Spirit. Here we must get out and point suffering people to the God who can make all things new. Pastor Prince and I will be back in Ohio 3rd week of December and Christmas. I pray God may bless you as you look to Him with your whole heart Mary 4 God’s will in Haiti
