1:23 PM 1/27/2017 "MaryReport2017.txt" Mary Davis in Haiti Texts (& email newsletter text-only) translated reports to keep you current about Mary's ministry in Torbeck/Les Cayes area Haiti --- ----------- date report =====January 01/27 (2016 Report: 225 Decisions for Christ in 7 months) Otherwise three months in USA with family and friends; May was rainy season; October-hurricane Matthew recovery. In November I suffered a fractured wrist from a motorcycle mishap while taking discipleship lessons to a mountain church in Camp Perrin. I have just regained use of my wrist and am retraining my fingers to work. We are blessed to enlarge our evangelism ministry to transport ministry teams in a car provided by a friend of Pastor Prince in Florida. There will be an additional expense to maintain it. As we prepare to contact the churches we have been involved with before the hurricane, to determine their current needs and to continue in evangelism and discipleship with them, we are struggling because we have very little additional resources to help them. I praise the Lord I could come to Haiti self-supported by USA Social Security. However to be a blessing to our Haitian brothers and sisters, we ask for your prayers for their needs: food, building materials to rebuild homes & churches, ministry auto maintenance, tracts and bibles. I came to Haiti with purpose to show a poverty stricken country that GOD loves them and the need to trust HIM in every situation; that our faith in GOD is real- to live for and be willing to die for. “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” We all need GOD’s vision: To gather a holy devoted people in complete fellowship with HIM “as ONE” in the image of HIS GLORY. Amen. PRAISE THE LORD! Mary 4 GOD in Haiti =====February 02/04 Praying for you. Thanks for prayer. I fell and hurt my knee but go[ing] to Les Angelis 1 accepted Christ. The people live in shacks with Samaritan Ministry tarps for roofs along the sea. I worked with some ladies who came to Pastor Prince’s church as a spiritual hospital for healing by prayer. They helped me make packages of rice, beans, chicken flavoring and a Cross tract, Our team drove two hours to give the gospel to 160 people and to distribute the food to 190 families Wednesday. Pastor Ramiel Lajore of Eglise Veronne, who is teaching the discipleship lessons there, organized the people for smooth delivery of spiritual and physical food. There were 7+ who accepted Christ. When we gave a salvation prayer everyone said Amen. We gave them hope to trust in God for salvation in Christ and to trust in God for their physical needs to be met. Amen. If I had the resources, I would love to continue to minister among the people of that hurricane ravished seacoast where we have been giving the gospel this last year. Thursday we gave the gospel and distributed food from a backpack, to 24 poor families in Les Cayes in 2 1/2 hours. One person accepted Christ and 3 rededicated and committed to going back to church. Saturday in area where I live one young man recommitted his life to the Lord, 1 accepted Christ and a carpenter made an appointment to accept Christ next Saturday. PTL for the blessing to share God’s precious word with people who will hear it. God bless you, Mary. 6/4 Dear Friends, Thank you for prayers and contributions for Haitians in great need of help. Our team of myself and 4 Haitians presented the gospel again for 200 Haitians and distributed food for 250 families. It was hard this time; People kept coming whom we had to turn away. Some people have offered to help Pastor Prince finish building his house but they need more contributions. We started this project 2 years ago. One member of our team, Mexico, needs a surgery for a tumor causing him to have an enlarged jaw. There is a medical team that may do the surgery if we provide a visa and transportation to the US hospital. There are churches that have asked me to help them rebuild since the Oct 5th hurricane. Thank you for praying with me for these needs. I am coming back to America June 6th to go on a trip with Art and have family time. I am praying about the return to Haiti with a definite plan of service. To be part of a US team would be nice. May God bless you as we await His Coming Again. -Mary fall ===== 9/24 Praying for you too. Arrived safely at PortAuPrince. No bus (tax protest)Pastor gave me a place to stay. Very hot. Mary. 10/21 I pray all is well with you as I see God’s hand of blessing or showers of blessing in Haiti. I am thankful for a place to stay at Pastor Prince’s church - Assembly of the Redeemed of Jesus Christ. I have a place between two places where it rains in. I am thankful that since Hurricane Matthew a year ago the trees are growing back providing food for some people, that because of structural damage to the church a deputy & a church in Port-a-Prince want to help rebuild the church and the new outside bathroom is almost finished. I am thankful for safety & protection in travel and a wonderful response to the gospel with 65 decisions so far this month. Praise the Lord. There is a growing zeal to participate in evangelism from this church that is well taught in firm biblical doctrine. The first team went out Monday. In response to prayer for me to connect with a Baptist church, in the rain, we met Pastor Merzier Amos of CMBH Baptist Church of Roche-A-Bateau who wanted us to teach evangelism & go with them Tues. 12 people in 2 teams went up into the mountain across the road from the church and the sea. God blessed with 9 decisions. They want us to continue to encourage evangelism with other Baptist churches up this seacoast area hit by Matthew and this is where my heart is. Also in this church I met Ronald, a Christian, US marine who speaks 7 languages and is developing a trustworthy team to help people there with contributions from other countries. May God’s will be done to bless Haitians. Mary Davis =====November 11/18 Praying for you too! Lord willing I (will) continue in January to encourage evangelism in Baptist Churches - Mary Davis -(thanks for prayers) =====December 12/15 [Emailed Report #1] In answer to prayer to work with a Baptist church in Haiti AND along south-west coast hit by Hurricane Matthew Oct. 5, 2016, God has made a way. PTL. Riding through that area by motorcycle one day a week seeing the people struggle so, for food, for shelter, to survive, I said, if I had a place to stay here and a translator, I would be glad to work in this area and just see what God would do. Two years ago I spoke at a pastor's conference with Pastor Prince translator, on Evangelism and Discipleship and shared my experience of going house to house in Haiti. On October 10th of this year, Pastor Amos, a pastor of Rache-a-Bateau, recognized us there, in the rain and invited us to speak at his Baptist church Sunday October 15 on Encouraging Evangelism. We did and met on Tuesday October 17 with 12 members in 2 teams for evangelism in a mountain across road from the church and the sea. There were 9 salvation decisions. Pastor Amos leads a coalition of 12 area churches and is president of a mission of 300 churches in 3 of the 10 departments in Haiti. With a translator, I am in the process of speaking at each one on Encouraging Evangelism and following with a day of evangelism with members of the church. I am excited about this opportunity and pray other soul winners will come join us. Pastor Amos has guest rooms in his house and has offered them to us. We can do what God has called us to do: Go: Make Disciples, Baptize them, and Teach them what our Lord commanded us to do. We also want to hold crusades in this depressed community. We are praying to have a traveling sound system to take place to place. This draws the people to come who would not go to a church. The church and house where I will live need a generator for electricity. A monthly gift to Mary4Haiti would help us to bless churches we speak at with bibles, food, shoes, clothes, construction materials to repair their homes, and trees and garden plants as a source for food. Wow! We could give them hope and help make a difference in their lives. Philippians 4:17 "Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account." Psalm 103:22 ''Bless the LORD, all His works in all places of His dominion: Bless the LORD, O my soul."
