Making America A Nation Still Under God

Deu 4:8 And what great nation is there that has such statutes and righteous judgments as are in all this law which I set before you this day?

Dear Beloved Family,

...And friends, we greet you in the lovely name of Jesus as we celebrate our Thankfulness and Jesus’ Birth. There was a beautiful story on the radio relating to the first Thanksgiving celebrated in Massachusetts in 1623. In a dire prospect of certain starvation after welcoming 35 new pilgrim settlers to their already struggling settlement, rations were cut again in half to survive the winter. A day of fasting and humiliation before God was proclaimed because without His favor that year, starvation was certain. God answered this day, and because of the answer, they were compelled to celebrate His gracious provision. We need an American nation to realize the famine facing us of our starving faith from coast-to-coast in the same way! For this reason...

Pat’s Ministry Expands

Based on the declines in America over the past 6 years, and over the last two years Pat has increased his nursing home ministry frequency: He now does both weekly. The Tuesday Bible Study at Westside Care continues. At Riverside Health Care Center on Sundays, a program of school-room like materials covering our U.S. Constitution and the founding of America is taught with dvds. On the first Sunday each month (for 26 years now) he still preaches the Bible alone.

The course is from the National Center for Constitution Studies and his purpose is to make the regular attenders understand the reason America is drifting quickly away from the very concepts that have made ‘US’ exceptional. Some of our material is documented at www.aprayernotebook.net/pray/

Our Middle Ages Medical

In January after numerous warnings to us over-60'ers Pat asked a Gastro-enterologist client to perform two recommended procedures at one time. It was informative for us, and though it cost us thousands of dollars, the experience has been mission critical to begin to help solve some of Pat’s digestive problems now surfacing. Pat believes he has Laryngo-pharyngeal or what’s called ‘Silent’ Reflux, caused by eating just before bedtime nightly for over 30 years, because of his Hypoglycemia diet.

David Tests in NJ Taekwondo

paint-as-jpg.jpgDavid@Berlin, NJ Nat’l TKD Comp     In May, David and his Dad went to New Jersey to have him compete in a national taekwondo competition. He was awarded a bronze medal for his Black-belt routine FORM.

We managed to get a video of his last practice run just before the testing which can be downloaded from his page in our family web. He will only have to attend one more tournament which will involve sparring against other Black-belt candidates to finally earn his actual “Black-Belt”.  Hopefully that can happen some time soon in 2015.

In the meantime he cleans carpets and offices with us as our labor technician. When he is not doing taekwondo or cleaning you will find him doing his real vocational love: COMPUTER TECHNICAL SERVICE! www.glorycarpetcleaning.com/ david/computers.htm

We have even been allowed to restore a virus-eaten 6-computer lab resource center at Riverside where Pat ministers.

Joseph Enters Senior Year

lanyon2.jpgPensacola Christian College has been a great challenge for Joseph, Figure 3 Joseph, David & Christine and he is progressing through his Business Management major’s highest level courses. His breaks from college are thoroughly enjoyed and filled full with service to Church attenders and neighbors. We are sorry to see him leave and grateful to have him return. He is always mowing yards, and especially fixing or selling used bikes to anyone who recognizes his gifted-ness in this vocation. He will most likely finish up school in January of 2015 and return for May Graduation Commencement.

Mary Davis’ Ministry

Chris’ sister Mary Davis has just completed a 6-month missions trip to Haiti at her own expense. She plans to return in January for another 6 months. Please pray for her. We are very grateful to see her doing this!

Christine

Chris loves to meet the needs of others. She can be seen before and after each service delivering birthday and anniversary cards, and bags of clothes and other goodies which have been given to her previously. She is found serving in the nursery monthly, in her primary Sunday school class weekly, and at banquets and fellowships.

She really enjoys the monthly ladies’ Bible Study, and God is greatly using her humble servant spirit in church and the Sunday school class.

She is also busy each day: cleaning jobs we have on our accounts, bookkeeping for a cleaning business, washing clothes, shopping for food for her family, and yes trying her hand at a garden.

With all this activity, attends the pains of growing older and the deterioration of joints in the body. But all is gratifying when the results come in. She is an irreplaceable component to our family, and everyone knows it.

The Conclusion

We are all very grateful for the opportunity to serve the Lord in CT at Truth Baptist Church. God has graciously allowed us to do what we love to do while serving Him in an excellent church and to raise our family here also.

We are blessed to be living in America, and our ‘historic’ study reminds us of the privilege it is to live here. And we are encouraging all we know to pray for God’s merciful blessings to continue upon it.

We also wish you a Blessed Christmas season as we remember the Babe in a Manger who will one day rule as King of Kings and Lord of Lords in a ‘nation’ of peoples who know Him in perfect peace.

Isa 9:7 Of the increase of His government and peace

There will be no end,

Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,

To order it and establish it with judgment and justice

From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Sincerely yours in our Blessed Lord,
