Summertime Fun (For the Fisherman)

Family fun in the summertime, 
Fun for spouse and children, 
Plus, an opportunity for yourself to get done. 
Many of great destinations with parks, 
Not far away can be good fishing spots. 
While wife and children go roller coasting, 
Steal away alone to do some rod bending. 
The most popular theme park in the nation, 
Is in Orlando Florida. 
There is plenty of largemouth fishing there, 
That species is named after me. 
(Largemouth you see! ) 
Florida is a big largemouth bass mecca, 
Lake Tahoe minutes from Orlando, 
Can rent a guide if you like too. 
Little ponds scattered around, 
Yes, many you'll find many abound. 
Chance to catch big largemouth bass, 
Perhaps some exotic such as peacock bass. 
Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, Virginia, 
Close to lots of large eastern cities. 
Wrong time of year traffic may not be pretty, 
Nearby is James River Blue catfish fishery. 
Catch lots with regularity, some 20 pounders, 
And a chance for 60 Ib, a good possibility. 
In Minnesota we have the Nickelodeon Universe, 
Bloomington, Minnesota, 
Lakes in Minnesota are far from scarce, 
Filled with bass, walleye, pike or musky. 
If it's the latter you're after, 
There's a guide at the St. Croix River.
Legoland in Carlsbad, California, Once family gets there, 
San Diego Bay not far away. 
Variety of species await both saltwater and sweet, 
There's a thriving fishery of spotted sand bass, 
Commonly called bay bass, 
After more of a challenge?

Dollywood, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, 
Dollywood is tucked away in some of the most pristine forest in the country.

This area has plenty of cold-water mountain streams, 
Filled with trout. 
The farther off the beaten path you venture, 
The better your chance of native brook trout capture. 
Yes, the southern Appalachians still have trout, 
But global warming making a clout. 

Mention Las Vegas most people, 
Conjure up its stereotype. 
But Outside of city limits natural world unveils, 
Beautiful cactus or species of quail. 
Or streams filed with red band trout, 
That seem to thrive in the dessert air. 

Off the beaten path, 
In the middle of the Pacific, 
Plenty of beaches for bathing or surfing. 
Coral reefs filled with lots of beautiful colored fish, 
Lots of rare birds and plants. 
Saltwater big game fish to be caught 
Fresh water has bass, rainbow trout, koi, 
None of them native to Hawaii.
