=====He Maketh No Mistake=====
by A. M. Overton
My Father's way may twist and turn,
My heart may throb and ache,
But in my soul I'm glad I know,
He maketh no mistake.
My cherished plans may go astray,
My hopes may fade away,
But still I'll trust my Lord to lead
For He doth know the way.
Though night be dark and it may seem
That day will never break;
I'll pin my faith, my all in Him,
He maketh no mistake.
There's so much now I cannot see,
My eyesight's far too dim;
But come what may, I'll simply trust
And leave it all to Him.
For by and by the mist will lift
And plain it all He'll make,
Through all the way, though dark to me,
He made not one mistake.

Two days ago in a meeting with a neurosurgeon, staff support, my two
sons and a dear church family counselor, I made the most difficult
decision I have ever made in my life: to end the life of my dear, dear
wife of 35 plus years, after which on November 6 at 8:50pm she breathed
her last and entered what must have been one of the noteworthy and grand
entrances into heaven.
I am so humbled to have known and loved her. Her life looms now larger
than life itself, for I never knew how far her life impacted others, for
all of her life!
I have much to experience in these extremely emotional days, but as I
review 45 years ago, I'm getting a glimpse God was preparing me through
long past days in my Chattanooga Seminary road for such a time as this
up here in CT.
Thank you Truth Baptist Church family, especially, and countless friends
from the past, Facebook families, and newsletter pals for the support
and encouragement for enduring these deep days of wonder and rejoicing
in the glory of God for the CT Lanyon Family! — C. Patrick Lanyon
remembering Christine Lanyon.

She trusted God to lead her in life, and ended giving up the ideal child rearing
years of a woman's life after college CONTENT to stay single on a third world
mission field waiting for God's choice for a help-meet. THEN He gave her
EVERYTHING she could have
imagined she would loose by doing so: A husband, two sons, a family in an
excellent church and incredible ministry opportunities for more than twice the
time she "Sacrificed" in Nassau and Provo! Now it's even fuller: reunion with
her blessed Savior!
