Prayer, Will of God and My House/Home Mr. C. Pat Lanyon

Review:

Last time we looked at the will of God in where you live.

Today we look at the power there is in confirming that you know and are doing the will of God in life. Please refer to "the Revised Submission Outline" to see how Colossians completes this section of the Outline and introduces this lesson.

Lesson:

From the prayer notebook:

[that He be enabled]

to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight--

Col. 1.22b

3B. PRESENTATION TO GOD (Purpose of 1B_2B) to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight– confirming the Will of God

1C. HOLY in Your sight I must be presented.

2C. BLAMELESS in Your sight I must be presented.

3C. ABOVE REPROACH in Your sight I must be presented.

God’s Purpose in Christ is
to Present Us in Heaven
"HOLY" and "FRUITFUL"

now He has reconciled

Section 1 Col 1: 22 in the body of His flesh through death,

Ro 7:4 Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another --  to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.

Eph 2:15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,

Eph 2:16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.

Heb 10:10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Heb 10:20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,

Section 2 Holy and Blameless

Lu 1:75 In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.

2Co 11:2 For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

Eph 1:4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

Eph 5:27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

1Th 4:7 For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness.

Tit 2:14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

2Pe 3:14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;

Jude 1:24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,

Section 3 and above reproach in His sight--

Job 15:15 If God puts no trust in His saints, And the heavens are not pure in His sight,

Job 25:5 If even the moon does not shine, And the stars are not pure in His sight,

Ps 51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Heb 13:21 make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Section 4  Summary:

God wants us to be complete when we have finished our life on earth. And He enables this by carefully showing us His unique and personal wish for the use of our life, and then He enables us to think about choices we make each moment of life, and as we make them our earthly life is completed.

2Co 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

Php 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

Col 2:10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

Col 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

2Ti 3:17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Heb 13:21 make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Jas 1:4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
