Their Second Death | OUR RESPONSE to this tragedyPat's Personal Home Page | TBC | Return to Glory Carpet Cleaning Home PageWhat 19 Terrorists Did Not Plan for On September 11, 2001
Rev. 20.11-15 11 ¶ And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. It is a comfort to our sense of justice to know that one day the Only True God (see John 17:3) will indeed judge every man according to his works, but much more, there is something we all must realize. The terrible thing about September 11, 2001 is that THOUSANDS may not have planned for the same event. Everyone, including you and I, must make adequate plans to avoid this day of Eternal Terror. It involves simply securing the following: Rev. 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
For everyone who believes on the name of the Son of God, it is said, Rev. 11:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. For in 1 John 5:13 it is promised: These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. This evil attack on America has reminded us all of the reality of the spiritual world in which we live. We abhor the deliberate acts of that day, but they are no less representative of the other horrors which our eyes have seen in the recent past. Our response follows: 1) We turn to the Bible for hope, help, and guidance. There is no other ROCK on which to stand. 2) We admit our immature state of love - both our failure to love God as we ought, and our failure to love men as God loves men. (John 3:16) 3) We cast out FEAR as God advises all who trust only in Him to do (1 John 4:18). We ask God for a more perfect love. Therefore we deplore those who have repaid evil-for-evil. 4) We admonish every American to be ready: a) to be prepared to die, so that you will not fear "FEAR." This is our greatest enemy, and resides in the enemy of all the human race: Satan himself (John 8:44). This means becoming a believer in Jesus Christ, the faith of our founding fathers. b) to realize death in the wake of terrorist acts of the future is, in reality, the most noble death to die because it is dying for everything good and Godly for which America has stood. c) to tell others the foundation of your faith in Him and exhort them to receive the same hope He gives. d) to leave vengeance to the God-ordained authorities placed over us for that very purpose (Romans 13:1-3). e) to exercise courage in facing our enemies, that we might stand noble and honorable before God and men. f) to pray for and love our enemies, for they have no hope such as we have, and they can receive
full forgiveness for such horrible acts, and have peace, through no other means. And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 5 But I will forewarn you
whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath
power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him [God]. Luke 12:4 - 5. 28 Therefore, since
we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. (Hebrews 12:28-29 NKJV.) |
