Dear Mary's Family,
First I have to introduce myself, I am Dr. Daad George Bou Malhab from Lebanon,
which means Mary's cousin.
I found by accident this obtuary adress.
I tried many times to be in contact with my cousins of US (my uncle Edwin
children),
it was after my father's death when I found a letter adressed to him by his
niece Mary,
this letter was sent in 1951, at this time I was a little child.
The letter mentionned Mary's husband Cecil and her daughter Ann.
Now, I am really sorry to have Mary's news just at this time which means she is
no more
here to listen something from her original family, father's family and country.
I hope you, all members of Mary's family, accept to recieve my deepest feels and
condolences.
In case some one of you like to be in touch with me, it will my pleasure.

Saturday, June 01, 2013 Dear Deb and Family,
Gramma Mary was the best. She adopted me sometime ago you know! We had several
enjoyable phone calls and our visits were always times to remember. She was a
special woman who was always looking for the good in things and people, even
when times were tough or when she was hurting. You took such good care of her
and she was forever greatful. I'm going to miss that beautiful smile and twinkle
in her eye. She counted every child, grand child and great grandchild as such a
blessing. May she live forever in your hearts and bring you peace & happiness
when you think of her. Sending hugs your way and all my Love, Eileen and

Wednesday
Mary Wise, after suffering another respiratory arrest Monday May 27, was revived
and yesterday the family made a choice to enter her into hospice.
This morning, May 29th, IN HER SLEEP, at 4 am, and in answer to our prayers that
it happen this way,
she peacefully entered the gates of heaven.
We will post details of the funeral we have been told initially will be Monday.
cpl/marywise/13f3marywise-prog.txt
Thanks to all who prayed for her.
Tuesday,
5/28/13
6:30 am. Mary Wise's heart rate rose to 140 and would not come down.
It is now stable. Keep on praying because it does help.
Sunday, 5/25/13
Saturday she ate a good breakfast, and then did exercises with the occupational
therapist, something they plan to continue twice daily.
She is lying on Left or Right sides only to heal the sore from laying flat so
long. She naps as needed.

Thursday
Made it home safe. Chris' younger sister said her first half of the day today
was poor: she was medicated,
but at suppertime she tried to eat most of her liquids on the tray. The choice
of hard foods weren't her favorites,
so they just didn't go down. Friday we'll see if she has to go back on dialysis.
And even if so,
the Dr. is upbeat that soon she'll be leaving the hospital.
We are very thankful for all our journeying mercies.
Wednesday 5/22/2013
12:00 PM
Mary has overall been feeling bad all over. When we came in (early this morning)
she was off her Oxygen.
After vitals were taken, O2 was restored. Hopefully this will help her quickly.
She has been complaining
about not being able to sleep. Just got an EKG. Kidney Dr. is in now. Cretin is
inching back up.
She has no appetite, but must eat to get kidneys working. Dialysis will return
by Friday if levels keep going up. She's eating now. Keep up the prayers.
5/22/13 10:22 am.
The Infection Control Dr. just came in (10:15 am) and reports
there is no more infection, but antibiotics
will continue for at least a couple days even if she goes 'home' soon. There is
still a little pain on the left side around the stomach area.
The cretin levels are not normal yet, but stable enough to let the kidney
function on its own. Negotiations are now being made
to transfer Mary to a Rehabilitation place close by in Ashland, OH, a town a
little North of Mansfield.
10:01 AM
Kidneys are stable! Dialysis is off the table, so Mary will
not need it for the immediate future.
Today Mary is complaining of sleeplessness and tired condition. But she is alert
when she is not becoming drowsy.
If she feels better today she is being given an opportunity to record a video
for CT friends, and other purposes.
More news as it occurs will be posted. Thank you for praying, friends!
Tuesday 10:15 AM 5/21/2013
4:47 PM 5/21/2013
We just heard from the heart Dr. who said he is very pleased with her heart's
condition, and when all the other
Dr.'s jobs are done she'll be released.3pm -- Mary is still unable to get up.
She still has a pretty deep bed sore, so bed pans will be used.
Today only they are trying no Foley to see what diapers reveal. The goal is to
get her more comfortable at night.
She is eating more solid foods, but it is still slow going on this. She is still
on oxygen but it is being decreased
when O-2 levels are acceptable.
The care here is amazing. Every hospital has bumps in the road, but
I have never seen such continuing care and sensitivity to our needs as well as
Mom's.
Thank you for your prayers. We will have to be leaving by Thursday morning for
work obligations,
so we would like to see faster progress, but we must be patient and thankful for
the dramatic progress we've seen since we arrived on Saturday a week ago!
5/21/13
Mary had a full Foley bag from her catheter which means there has been
a substantial improvement in her kidney function! Translated: PRAISE THE LORD,
PRAYERS ANSWERED.
SHE IS NOT GOING TO PROBABLY NEED DIALYSIS (NOT CERTAIN YET THOUGH).
She will now 10:43 AM be able to get up and go to the bathroom, and more
importantly walk.
This will help her body rid itself of water on her lungs which is probably her
most
important current concern. We are very happy to report this
improvement. Monday
5/20/13
Mary began eating more substantial meals today.
Rest improved her conditions but she was still recovering from a painful bed
sore.
Sunday 5/19/13
Mary rested from her dialysis treatment and her body began slowly
recovering.
Kidneys were still slowly responding all day.
Saturday, 5/18/13
So sweet, Mary hugged the two nurses weighing her after they were done.
She said, 'I know you have to do what you do. Just let me say OUCH.' ...
--Sorry I didn't get a picture of this! :D

Mary is now in a step-down room, she only has an oxygen tube and bladder
catheter to monitor urine output.
She is on dialysis (conventional) for 4 hours today. We are about ready to
return to her room.
She will be soon able to walk to the bathroom, but we all need to pray that her
kidneys
begin working much better than present.
We will have to be looking into rehabilitation options early next week probably.
Thank you for prayers, when she is better I will have her direct phone line with
anyone needing it:
email me at wisefavor @ gmail.com.

Several Dr.s were in today. The Dr. for her heart said all things are
progressing as expected.
The Infection Control Dr. said he wanted to see an ultrasound of her abdominal
pain since
her white blood cell count was levated somewhat, and he was not sure what was
causing it.
She was not feeling well because of catheters and eating a normal (for her)
breakfast.
So she had to wait 4-6 hours without food or water for the ultrasound.
She was so miserable, but we tried to comfort her with instrumental music,
then a video of the archaeological evidence for the Red Sea Crossing, and
finally the Turner Movie Channel.
We will tell the results of the ultrasound later today or tomorrow.
It is obvious to us that her kidneys and bowels [need to] begin functioning normally. THIS
IS THE MAIN PRAYER REQUEST.
Mary will need rehabilitation after her hospital stay concludes. (She has been
here 15 days so far.) Please continue to pray for her.

We came in this morning to find the dialysis machine just removed,
good news because now Mary's organs are now on their own to be functioning
as they are expected. One of the best nurses, Brian, was once again
on duty last night. He told us earlier they work 12 hour shifts
with 3 days scheduled per week.
She will probably get the conventional dialysis beginning tomorrow.
We expect a fuller update after Dr. rounds today.
Thursday 2:56 PM 5/16/2013
Mary is talking and much more like herself.
The dialysis machine yesterday removed over 4 lbs of water from her body.
She still has water in her lungs which is still a major concern.
Her kidneys are also not producing near enough - another major concern.
She is beginning to eat and drink a lot better. So these things all help.
The pastor of Mansfield Baptist Temple came to visit and was a blessing to her
and us.
Pray that other family members still traveling will arrive safely.
Her son-in-law arrived yesterday, and her daughter should arrive today or
tomorrow.
Thank you again for your prayers.Wednesday
Wednesday, 11:00 AM 5/15/2013
Mary Wise saw the Kidney Dr. about 10:30 today.
He told us that she is recovering as expected, but she still need to be on the
dialysis machine
for a few more days due to the amount of unwanted fluids in various places in
her body.
It is very effective at doing this, but it causes her to feel 'cold' and must be
frightening to her knowing she almost died. The Dr. assured us she is not cold
and devices are keeping her the correct temp. Pray for her to be able to endure
the 'cold' sensation during this time. It may take longer to resolve her
condition at this time, so we are not pushing the staff to remove dialysis. The
conventional dialysis will reveal whether or not the kidneys now in shock will
recover, but that process is an up/down injection and shock to the body
accommodated best by an otherwise healthy body.
The speech therapist came at 11:24 AM to check out her throat after the tubes
were in place as long as they were.
She also has soreness due to extended times laying in bed, so pray that these
sore can heal quickly.
Mary loves having so many family around her, and she especially loves the music
and scripture we are able to play
for her in her ear and in the room. Sometimes it is loud enough to hear outside
the room, and anyone needing
'spiritual shots' can connect (we are careful not to make the music/audio too
loud). Thanks for your continued prayers.
Tuesday, 5/14/13
FLASH ... About 6 pm the tubes/ ventilator are coming out. Hallelujah!
5pm
David Lanyon sang songs to Grandma all this morning right from
a laptop at
http://www.majestytunes.com/ from 10am to 12:30pm. She is now hearing vocal
songs from the same site. We just saw this morning that sorrow has come to the
Hamilton
family. We encourage your prayers for them as well. ):
3pm
Mary has held her own. Today, because her kidneys have been
idle, she has not been producing sufficient blood, she is now getting 2 pints of
a transfusion. Otherwise she is improved enough to begin the process of weaning
from the ventilator (breathing on her own)! While this is progress, it is also
cause for prayerful concern - that her organs will positively respond. If things
continue as progress, the ventilator is to be removed, including the tubes down
her throat. Pray she will recover safely from this procedure. We have not seen
her like that since we arrived. Thank to you all for praying!
Monday, 5/13/2013
6pm
We spent all afternoon with Mary. She continues to rest. She listened to Ps 1-78
in her right ear, then I played instrumental music from Majesty Music until we
left for Supper. Her brother Fred had some good hours with her around noon. Her
alertness is improving while she is on full life support. Because she has no
serious smoker's history her lungs should function when the rest of her body
health improves and it is time to take her off ventilation. We are greatly
encouraged.
11:30am
We just heard from the heart doctor at 11am. He confirmed last report. As long
as she is improving and responding to the dialysis and thus losing water and
unwanted bodily liquids, we are hopeful of recovery. But the process will take
more than a couple of days. But your prayers are being answered because she
looks better too. She is in intensive care with a nurse 1on1 24 hours. God is
good! We are thankful! Pat & Christine
9am
Mary is resting and peaceful. Her body is being cleansed of toxins through
dialysis in a gentle procedure. We are playing scriptures on "A Godly Woman"
theme intermixed with Majesty Music songs on a Treo Phone resting next to her
head. We will know what this treatment is doing in a few days. Her ventilator
will be removed when she is finished with the dialysis, as the current goal.
This morning she responded to the male nurse's question by tapping her hand. :))
Sunday, 5/12/13
After full respiratory arrest over night Saturday to Sunday, Mary Wise is on 24
hr/day dialysis (a stepped down process less dangerous for her blood pressure),
masked respiration under sedation to keep her breathing properly, and several
tubes down her throat to accomplish all this. The dialysis will purify toxins so
her body functions, especially kidneys and lungs, can return to normal. We are
waiting on God and playing godly music for her during this rest. Thank you for
your continued prayers.
Wednesday, 5/8/13
kidneys improved a little, so they held off on dialysis.
she urinated the normal amount that a person should today. which is wonderful
physical therapist came in and had her get up, take a few steps to the chair and
sit down.
fed her her lunch. she ate 1/2 applesauce cup, 1/2 yogurt cup, 1/4 cream of
chicken soup,
2 bites of mashed potatoes, and some thickened cranberry juice.
she is definitely doing so much better.... especially since last night she did
not even
recognize family after meds given heart rate is 71, her blood pressure is 114,
and her sugar was a little high, but not horrible, She had eaten pudding and yogurt and orange juice this morning.
Tuesday, 5/7/13
Summary: (What Happened - from Chris' niece)
SATURDAY: Mom pretty much took the pacemaker okay and was out of bed walking to
the water closet in her room and sitting up in a chair to eat. She was set to
be moved to stepdown. She had really good color in her face, best she has looked
in a very long time!
They were iv-ing the medicine to remove the water around her heart, which has
been successful, when she had a problem with one of the water medications which
caused the kidney failure.
Dialysis should fix that problem, but now either her hernia or cancer on her
breast bone is causing an infection. Mom does not recognize anyone when on meds
for the infection, so do not worry that you are not there yet. (She does
recognize family before they drug her again.)
Monday, 5/6/13
(+) Vitals improved overnight. (-) Kidneys failing. Dialysis ordered. Hoping
that a flush will restore and restart them.
Mary Davis (Chris' sister) is advising us to begin making arrangements to come
to OH. PLEASE PRAY MARY WISE'S BODY WILL RESPOND TO THE DIALYSIS IN THESE HOURS.
Thank you for praying! Picture is from Sept, 2004 with Kathy Barteck her
granddaughter.
