This is the page showing some of
the best and most helpful compositions I have made through the years. They
have come as gifts from the Lord. We pray that each will in some way help
you!
First look at these tracts in this order:
1. Believe 2. After
3. Pray
If you have never called upon the LORD for salvation ONCE for all, I urge
you to do so today.
When moving to Chattanooga for Seminary, I did
significant study of the Bible, and spiritual subjects. The study
transformed my life. Shortly after arriving, I took a class from Dr. James
D. Price. It was called Exodus to Deuteronomy. For that class I
wrote a paper on the "Divine
Revelations." I related it to God's
call to me to be willing to be a preacher, if he wanted that for me.
My first tract was written in Spring, 1980. It was
entitled "Have You Ever Asked Yourself this
Question?" It was
from a chart I used to teach inner-city children in Highland Park
Baptist's Afternoon Sunday School. It was very simple and to-the-point.
In June, I left to help plant Truth Baptist in East
Hartford. While there I put into print a notebook I had been writing and
using since my first years in seminary, beginning in 1977. The first
edition of "A Daily Prayer Notebook" was a
13 page
outline.
More recently since I sensed a need to put into print an
idea for a Bible Study I used often when on visitation from door-to-door.
It was on the key word in in St. John's Gospel: believe ."A
Simple Bible Study on Believing" was born in 1996. It
was printed by a church ( Historic
Baptist Church) Shortly after
that a missionary
friend of mine Dave
Christenson translated it into Spanish.
Un
Estudio Bíblico Sencillo Acerca Del Hecho De "Creer"
is
written with the prayer that many missionaries can use it for evangelism
in a discipleship setting with others who may have the beginnings of
interest in salvation.
Most recently has come "After I Have Believed," A short tract
I have tried to combine the principles in the prayer notebook above with other
basics of the Christian life.
I am also interested in writing something that effectively and
graciously refutes and exposes the errors of
"good-works-salvation" beliefs prevalent in modern religions
basing their salvation on good deeds in part or alone. "Lest
Any Man Should Boast" or a similar title I am planning now.
I am also interested in a tract on the plan of God's salvation for the
Hebrew. "Isaiah's Good Comfort to Israel" will be the potential
title. My brother in the Denver area, who started Rocky Mountain
Friends of Israel. A tract he wrote is also available on my site. It is
entitled "The Joyful Message of the Jewish
Holidays," by J.
