Our First Tract -- Updated and Complete

This tract contains simple sentences that the reader should carefully study with a plain dictionary in hand to understand the words used. This will allow you to begin to understand the impact that Bible salvation has upon life and exactly what one must simply do to receive this amazing gift. After this is done, one should carefully do a Bible study on the "act" of Believing as encouraged in A Simple Bible Study on Believing. This tends to resolve doubts that tend to arise in mind before and after one makes a profession of faith. Below are links for other helps also.

Have You

Ever Asked

Yourself

This

Question

???

Question ONE

How can I KNOW

I am going to heaven?

What I must BELIEVE

Bible Ref

* God wants me to know.

* 2 Peter 3:9

1. I sin by nature.

1. Romans 3:23

2. I will die.

2. Romans 6:23

3. In love, Jesus died for me.

3. Romans 5:8

4. Jesus is God, and He was raised.

4. Romans 10:9

5. I must call once.

5. Romans 10:13

* I KNOW.

* 1 John 5:13

[SCRIPTURE:  Reading the added bold face type aloud vocalizes the truth the verse teaches. ]

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slack

concerning his promise,

as some men count slackness;

but is longsuffering to us-ward,

not willing that any should perish , but that all should come to repentance.

1 John 5:13

These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE

on the name of the Son of God ,

that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life.

Eph 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved

through faith; and that not of yourselves : it is the gift of God(* see the_gift_of_God's_Eternal_Life):

Not of works , lest any man should boast.

Eph 2:10

(Correcting the misunderstanding of
Good Works not for Salvation, but "because of" salvation)

10 For we are his workmanship,

created in Christ Jesus unto good works,

which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

How To Believe (KJV)

Romans 3: 23

For all have sinned , and come short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death ; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:8

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us .

Romans 10:9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Romans 10: 13

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved .

Question TWO

How can I GROW to please God better?

What I must DO

Bible Reference

* God wants growth.

* 2 Peter 3:18

1. Read Bible Daily.

1. Joshua 1:8

2. Heed God's Word.

2. James 1:25

3. Pray daily.

3. 1Thes. 5:17

4. Confess sins.

4. 1John 1 :9

5. Go to church.

5. Heb. 10:25

6. Be baptized.

6. Acts 8:12

7. Give to God.

7. Luke 6:38

8. Tell others.

8. Acts 1 :8

9. Please God in all .

9. 1Cor. 10:31

*2Pe 3:18

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ .

Repentance 2Pe 3:9

The Lord is ... longsuffering to us–ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance .

Jos 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night , that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous , and then thou shalt have good success.

* Doing the things in Question 2 without answering Question 1 affirmatively could mean that you are trusting in a salvation by your own works. You must understand the principles taught in Ephesians 2:8,9,& 10. Count on your good works to give you an inheritance in Heaven, but not citizenship.
