3-year Ministry There in 1988.
In 1988 the church and school was one building, with a pair
of classes in the back, and a small apartment in the front, both sandwiching the
auditorium in the center.
They now have 4 extensive buildings, 2 composed of 2 floors each providing K-6th
grades for 11 classes and teachers.
2 Busses and 2 Vans have been donated to the Church & School in relatively new
condition!
10 To Show our Family the Fruits of Missionary Service
Devoting 15 years to the mission field leaves an impact on people and places.
Our family has known little of their mother’s missionary work except brief
picture-viewing, occasional friend's visiting, and cards received each year.
The rewards of serving God cannot be appreciated fully until seen with the eye.
11 To Acknowledge their Decision to Name the Library
After Christine Wise Lanyon.
Mrs. Martha Rigby Harris has sensed and obediently accepted the call to
administrate the school with her sister Miriam as Director (now living in TX)
She has skillfully managed the school using donated funds and friend's
assistance and made it profitable as a business in Provo, then she honored the
donors through naming buildings and rooms after their sacrifice and service.
She seeks to attain a unity between the school and church while still coping
with the difficulty of finding qualified teachers and staff having fundamental
beliefs.
She is married to a faithful man in the Methodist Church there and they
faithfully attend and are active in that ministry.
Their family, less than 2 years ago, suffered the loss of their 19 year old son
in a tragic accident on another island that killed 3 young people. The tragedy
has obviously deepened her commitment.
12 To Acknowledge their Decision to Name the Library
After Christine Wise Lanyon
She Named the 2nd building after her dad, Dr. Thomas Rigby Sr. (1921-2008)
She named the 3rd building containing the library and the school offices and
grades 1-6 after Fred C. Davis (1926-2006) a generous donor that lived in NC.
They presented the fact to her Thursday, January 21, in person and the picture
and placard are awaiting completion at a later time.

know there!
Providential – "exercising foresight in the management of
one's affairs or resources; anticipatory, prepared for the future" – The Island
