More for Him in 2024
Ps 19:1-4 "The heavens declare the
glory of God; and the firmament sheweth His handywork. (All of
creation reveals God's glory and majesty.) Day unto day
uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to
the end of the world. In them hath He set a tabernacle for the
sun," (The sun is a stunning workmanship of the Creator,
glorifying the God who made it.) Coming down through the
clouds, flying towards Ft Lauderdale Fl, the sun was setting to
expose this view of approaching sunset..
Remembering
where blessings come, We wish you a happy New Year, in the Lord.
Thank you for prayers and contributions to bless ministry in
Haiti.
Ps 126:5-6: "They that sow in tears shall reap in
joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed,
shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves
with him."
John 15:5 "I am the vine, ye are the branches:
He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth
much fruit: for without Me you can do nothing." But with
faith and confidence in Him: Phil 4:13 "I can do all things
through Christ which strengtheneth Me." Enclosed

May God Bless you at Christmastime and throughout this new
year just because He is who He is and who we are in Him.
Praise the Lord.
God so blesses me being part of an Evangelistic commission
here in Les Cayes, Haiti, which Pastor Emilo, by God's
leading, founded and named: "Haiti
Evangelism in Action" before He passed on into glory.
Our aim is to continue in his vision for the glory of God in
Haiti and beyond.
Enclosed are recent photos of us meeting
together including their meeting to celebrate my birthday
and thank us for supporting evangelism in Haiti. Through an
inheritance gift from my nephews, David and Joseph Lanyon in
CT, we purchased the sound system for crusades and the truck
to transport equipment and ministry teams to provide the
crusades.
Please continue to pray for souls to be saved in Haiti and
if God puts it on your heart, ***help us to provide and ship
Bibles and Gospel tracts in their Haitian Creole language.
***This is the key of our Evangelistic ministry.*** The
mailing address for contributions is Mansfield Baptist

11/10 Mary Davis 11/10 update...
Dear friends and family, With a heavy yet hopeful heart we send
this notification that my sister Christine Lanyon age 74 has
graduated precious into the presence of the Lord last Monday
evening. We pray earnestly on behalf of her husband Patrick
Lanyon and their two sons, David and Joseph for God's perfect
comfort and will in their lives. God is good always and always
knows what is best for His glory. We trust Him in it, faithfully
until we join Him too. There will be a memorial service
[correction: Saturday at 10:30am AND...-cpl] for [a family chat
for] her on zoom 4928477679 next Friday evening from 6-9. Her
life was a testimony of witness for the Lord that I pray
continues in myself and all who knew her. PTL.
According
to Luke 15:10 "Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the
presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth."
Can you imagine, when we share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and
one person repents and accepts Him as Savior and Lord, we bring
joy into the presence of God? By the grace of God that is why I
am in Haiti while my sister passed from this life into life
everlasting. We took the devil's holidays, Nov. 1: All Saints
Day and Nov 2: All Souls Day of the Dead, to share the gospel in
Lasavann in Les Cayes. We have a report of 109 decisions for
Christ. We continue to plan for evangelism for Nov 18: which
recognizes the Battle of Vertieres Day, the victory over the
French in 1803, inviting pastors in 18 cities in the south
Department to participate and providing them with gospel tracts.
May God bless, all to His glory. May the need for bibles or John
& Romans be provided for new converts. An updated copy of The
Love of God can Change the World for His Glory. Live it! Tell
it! is bing prepared in English as well as Haitian Creole.
Crusades are planned for Nov 26-29 in Delfosse and Dec 6-10 at
Benches in Chantel area in the countriside and for Dec 14-19 on
mountainside on way to Port Salut. The crusade for Lasavann
postponed, hopefully, by will of God, will be a reality by the
end of the year.

Your sister in Christ, Mary. [6

11/6 Mary's reply to her sister's
11-6 death notice. Ps 116: precious in the sight of the LORD
is the death of His saints." Pat, David and Joseph, My heart
and prayers have been with you during this time and will
continue to be so. Christine lived a good life honoring the Lord
Jesus Christ, and indeed was an encouragement and inspiration to
so many what more can we ask? May God comfort your hearts as
you adjust to her absence which is only temporary until we all
meet again. May the Lord truly fill the void. Love Mary
10/31 Psalm 145:3 "Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and
your dominion endures through all generations." Dear friends
and family, Seeking in prayer, our God and His perfect will in
all things dear to me and you. For me, it is my sister Christine
in UCon Health/John Dempsey Hospital Hartford CT, since 10-13 to
have a brain tumor removed 10-18 and then sedated still because
of seizure activity etc. We pray for her to have restored health
and body function according to God's perfect will.
In
Haiti, our prayers are for the needs of Haitian people, that
only God can meet: physical and spiritual hunger, violence in
Port-au-Prince to stop, and lack of necessary foods & supplies
to become available. Our God is able.
Please pray with us
for our (national holiday) Nov 1&2 and 18 evangelistic ministry
in all the South department, focusing on city of Les Cayes. We
thank Fellowship Tract League and Equipping the Saints for
gospel tracts and Bearing Precious Seeds for copies of John &
Romans. We continue to make effort to acquire bibles in Haitian
Creole language, though available in Port-au-Prince, limited by
violence there. Many churches want to participate in the days of
evangelism. Other churches are holding days of prayer and
fasting for Haiti. Glory to God.
We distributed personal
supplies in the Les Cayes jail 10-18 to 875 prisoners and gave
the gospel. They were pleased to receive the items. With the
presentation of the gospel many of them gave testimony of
accepting the Lord. They asked us to return and we pray for
guidance to do that. One we know of prayed to be released and he
would get saved. God answered his prayer and the next week we
met him on the street with no family or place to go. We referred
him to Pastor Senat's church in that area where we hope to
follow up. Thank you Agape Flights , Enviromow Landscaping,
Pastor Prince & Church of the Redeemed of Jesus Christ and
others that made that project a reality and God who bears the
fruit.
Enclosed photos of Pastor Prince' church. 1.

10/22 Mary's Lanyon Family Ps 91
share Dear family, Psalm 91 for you: 1 For you that
dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High, you that abide
under the shadow of the Almighty: 2 Together we say
individually of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: He is
my God; in Him will I trust. 3. Surely He continues to
deliver us from the snare of the fowler (trapper of birds), and
from the noisome (deadly) pestilence. 4. He covers us with
His feathers and keeps us under His wings; In Him is our trust
always. His truth is our shield; big or small all; He is all
that we need. 5 Praise God, we can proclaim our faith and
say: I will not be afraid for the terror by night; nor the arrow
that flieth by night because My God is with me and says He will
never leave me. 6 Because of His presence, we can say,
neither will I be afraid of the pestilence that walketh in
darkness, nor for the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
7 We see a thousand fall away at our side and ten thousand at
our right hand; but not us, as we keep our eyes on our God. 8
Only with our eyes do we see the reward of the wicked. 9
Because by faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our life,
receiving the Most High as LORD, as our refuge, our habitation:
10 There shall no evil befall us nor any plague come nigh our
dwelling.that He in His wisdom does not permit. 11.For our
God shall give His angels charge over us, to keep us in all our
ways. 12 They shall bare (lift) thee up in their hands, lest
thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13 Thou shalt tread upon
the lion and adder (cobra): the young lion and the dragon
(serpent) shalt thou trample under foot. 14 Lovingly, God
tells you: Because you set your love upon Me, therefore will I
deliver you: I will set you on high because you hath known My
name. 15 When you call upon Me, I will answer you: I will be
with you in trouble; I will deliver you and honor you. 16
With long life will I satisfy you and show you My salvation.
Praise the LORD.
I know God is your strength at this
time. Please keep me informed. Thank you. I love you all and am
praying God's perfect will for you all. Love Mary

Isaiah 43:1,7 "..Fear not for I have redeemed thee, I have
called thee by thy name: Thou art Mine. Even every one that is
called by My name:for I have created him for My glory. " Heb
13:5-6 "Let your conversation (conduct) be without covetousness;
and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I
will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly
say, The Lord is my Helper and I will not fear what man shall do
unto me." There was not any sign of the turmoil that
prevails in Port-Au-Prince, evident between the PAP major
airport & Sunrise airways that had flights all over the country.
Absolutely no problems getting into Haiti and flying out to
another department of Haiti. PTL. Pastor Prince and church
have been working on packaging 1000 personal needs products to
distribute in the jail, and then to other places of need
including Pastor Senat's school in ElSavann, a very poor area of
Les Cayes where prayerfully we would have a crusade next week.
Thank you for your prayers and all who contributed to extend
God's love in these areas.. Enclosed is a photo of preparing
Needs packages including a Gospel tract.. We pray God's perfect
will in all things. May He Bless you as you live faithful to
Him. Mary [1

10/11 Encouragement in hard times Dear
friends and family, We pray for the people of Israel. This is
our world. How do we respond? As we thank God for every blessing
He gives Us.may we be more committed to live pleasing to Him.
God has blessed me to read Dr. David Jeremiah's book, The
World of the End: How to live according to the priorities Jesus
taught. Enclosed is a report of that book that blesses me as I
go on to Haiti leaving tomorrow, and God willing, to arrive
Friday afternoon.and may it bless you as well. Thank you. Mary.

10/01 Jesus said, "Follow
me". Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the
Gospel of God." ==Praying for you, America, Haiti and every
place God has sent His witness in these times. God has showed me
the poverty of Haiti and how could I ever turn my back on them.
People ask me if I am going back to Haiti in the midst of the
turmoil in the capital city of Port-au-Prince. I have prayed
about it and I have plane tickets for Oct 13. May God bless..
Our shipment of personal items for the prisoners in the jail as
well as others in need is being shipped this coming week
also. Our evangelism team & the Association of Protestant pastors
is making plans for a crusade in the LaSavonn area of Les Cayes
for October 17-21 Luke 9:62 "And Jesus said unto him, No man,
having put his hand to the plough, and looking back is fit for
the kingdom of God." Evangelism continues in the countryside
of SW Haiti.I pray God in the lives of these people will make a
difference in their lives and in their country. Enclosed are
photos 1-4 of evangelism in LaSavonn area: Photo 1-2 - Pastor
Prince and Photo 3-4 J- ak and his wife Nana. There were 27
decisions in September. Then Pastor Prince was invited to come to
Les Angles on the west coast for evangelism in their city.13

There were 14 decisions including the man in the wheelchair.
Plans were made for discipleship.Thank you for your prayers for
Haiti. Regards Mary [7 images]
Mary's July 14th Report
"It is of the LORD's mercy that we are not consumed,
because His compassions fail not."
Saturday June 3rd we celebrated the life of the
founder of our evangelism group, Haiti Evangelism in Action, Pastor Emilio
Voltaire.
Photo 1: He was given national honor with the
Haitian flag placed over his casket.
This is nothing compared to his presence with the Lord Psalm 116:15 "Precious in
the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints."
Leg Swollen And Foot Blood Clot!
So I have been in the USA in Florida visiting family
and doctor appointments. God is good.
I had an orthopedic appointment for knee injections just 2 days before the
authorization ran out.
I arrived with a swollen leg. That doctor sent me for an ultrasound to check for
a blood clot.
They found a blood clot from my foot to my waist & sent me to the hospital.
They did a procedure to remove most of it & put me on a blood thinner.
My knee treatment was postponed until August when I am also scheduled for eye
surgery.
A test for an abnormality showed decreasing calcification since last year.
The doctor said that in 20 years, only twice did he see a decrease without
treatment.
So PTL. I know all things will work out in God's perfect timing.
Evangelism In Action Continues
Evangelism continues in Haiti with Pastor Jean Chery

The People In Haiti
The people in Haiti struggle to have food while we
have plenty at our fingertips.
I would love to develop a means to distribute food through this church to those
people.
If anyone has suggestions, perhaps God can use that to meet that need.
Thank you for your prayers & support for people around the world for whom God
has sent His people to minister to, including Haiti.
Pray for Haiti.

July 14 Report (Take
This LINK)
Mary Davis Reports: May,
June 2023
May
18,2023: Pastor Emilio Voltaire went home to be with his Lord.
2Cor 5:8 "..absent from the body present with the Lord."
He, like Paul could say to us left behind:
2Tim
4:5, 7-8 "But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do
the work of an evangelist, make full proof of your ministry.
I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course, I have
kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown
of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall
give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all who love
His appearing." PTL.
Pastor Emilio Voltaire,
born Dec 5, 1961, saved in 1979, 1 week later was chosen to
teach Children's Bible Class. He continued through 2014 when he
had a children's conference in January. He brought in, taught &
fed 2500 children. Pastor Emilio loved young people and knew
they were the hope for the future. In February, 2022 instead
of [the] wickedness of Carnival Days, he offered them a Youth
conference. Photo 1-3 below.
Pastor Emilio has been involved in evangelism in the Les
Cayes area & has planted 34 churches. For three years he led the
ministry of Evangelism Explosion in the major cities of Haiti.
He and his wife Amosa Cherisard also were leaders in Samaritan
Purse Ministries for Children. They have led many to the kingdom
of God.
Pastor Emilio Voltaire, even though he was
paralyzed, served as President of the Ligue des Pasteurs du
SUD (South Department of Haiti) LIPASH, represented the
Fellowship of Haitian Evangelical Pastors of New England, USA
and has led in the 2018 founding of the League's Evangelism
Commission to promote evangelism & discipleship in the South
Department .
The Evangelism Commission, under the name
he chose,
Haiti: Evangelism in Action includes the leadership of
1)President: Pastor Jean Chery (Director of Evangelism for MEBSH
) 56 years in Evangelism; 2)Vice President: Pastor Gerald
Carisme, 1990 founder of Pechurs D' Ames d' Haiti (Fishers
of Men/Women of Haiti), 33 years in evangelism; 3)Secretary:
Pastor Jean Wilfrid Prince, 24 years in evangelism;
4)Treasurer, Madam Pastor Amosa Cherisard Voltaire, 44 years in
evangelism; 5)Mary Davis. 30 years in evangelism; and
6)Pastor Emilio Voltaire, founder with 44 years in evangelism
has led the way.
This was an intervention of
God. PTL.
A Seminar on Encouraging Evangelism was held
in all 20 cities of South Department & in special days of
evangelism: Nov. 1&2 and Nov. 18, 2022. 1500 decisions were
reported in the South Department of Haiti. Over 100,000
gospel tracts from the USA have been distributed. In 2023,
1000's are reached by crusades. PTL. Below are photos 4-5 of
Pastor Emilio at Valere Crusade April 23-30 sponsored by
LIPASH.
Pastor Emilio called a meeting to plan the next crusade in
LaSavann, just 1 week before he died.
At an interview,
Pastor Emilio said, "Evangelism is like a really good food;
the most important thing in the ministry. Churches couldn't have
people if they didn't have evangelism." Pastor Emilio
Voltaire will be greatly missed in the "Church" in Haiti. We
thank the Lord for the grace He showed in the life of His great
servant, Pastor Emilio Voltaire. May we be faithful to God,
in the work of God until He calls us home "absent from the body
present with the Lord.". — One of His, Mary Davis

Our Great God has a Plan: What a privilege to take part in it!
Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement which are
of great support and encouragement to us all. I thank the Lord
for the grace He has given you as great warriors of prayer and
encouragement which are immeasurable in kingdom ministry. May
God continue to bless you always.
Please pray with us, as Pastors and leaders are praying and
planning for a crusade in LaSavann, intercity area of Les Cayes
for May 25-28 2023.
Please pray for Haiti --As the gangs and corruption with
kidnaping & rape are spreading from Port-au-Prince to around the
country including Les Cayes, we see that Haitians watch for any
strangers coming into their neighborhoods and report them to the
police. Haitians are standing against the gangs and corruption
with the police. It is an ongoing concern and reality. We pray
for God's perfect will here, for the hungry people to find food
in a legitimate way and for needs of Haitians to be met as they
turn to God for their needs to be met, not the gangs.
As it is so hot in Haiti during the summer, I go to Florida to
visit family and for doctor appointments June 2, then Ohio
mid-July and August for fair evangelism, etc. As more Christian
Haitians want to be involved in crusade evangelism in Haiti, we
pray for them to carry on by the grace of God, We will see what
God will do for them & through them. Amen.
1Cor 1:18 "For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish
foolishness, but unto us that are saved it is the power of God."
Enclosed is [a] copy of [the] result of [a]
study & crusade message
God has given me.
===== Email 4/26 Dear family and
friends: This study has so touched my life, I wanted to share
with you.
I. The Law: Genesis-Deut: A Fall Gen 3:6, A
Promise Gen 3:15 and God gives us His plan of Redemption
Gen-Rev.
II. The History of Israel reveals the Plan:
Joshua-Esther: We were in trouble and God wants to help us find
our way back to Him.
III. In spite of everything we go
through, God is our wisdom and hope: Job-Song of Solomon
IV. The Prophets get us ready to hear from God's Coming Son:
Isaiah-Malachi. The Prophets knew mankind missed Holiness. They
offered hope by purifying judgment, repentance, holiness, then
joy, beauty and true relationship with God.
V. New
Testament Gospel: Jesus Christ, God's Son introduces us to His
Kingdom: Matthew-John. It is the abundant life of holiness:
Knowing God as your Supreme Treasure and relating to Him and
others lovingly.
VI. We are the Chuch: Learning community
living through God's true love: Acts-Jude
VII. God
keeps His promise of Happiness forever with Him as He brings
His Kingdom to Earth and then to a new earth, new heaven and new
Jerusalem with Him forever everlasting.: Revelation
Feb 16, Emailed There
are things we would like to be different but Praise God who is
sovereign over all. Praise God as we pray for each other, we
know our God answers according to His glory and our ultimate
good. We can live by faith and confidence in Him. While things
are not so much better in Haiti as I last reported, but because
our God is still on the throne, I rejoice in Him and the
opportunity to praise His name. PTL.
Lord willing we
start our first crusade tomorrow near Paster Prince church in
KaHouck in Torbeck area. 40 members around Haiti of a mission
group called Jamica are supposed to be coming in. The ladies of
Pastor Prince church have been preparing a meal for them. Church
members have been cleaning the area and building a stage for the
crusade. Technicians have been preparing to use the sound
system, [a] first time for us. Please pray with us that all goes
well and many people would make decisions for God.
I
have enclosed an updated 5 page message God has given to
encourage people in evangelism to also include a lesson in
discipleship. It is a culmination up to now of insight God has
given. We plan to offer this teaching later during the crusade
during the day for all those who make decisions. I have this
prepared in Haitian creole language also to distribute. Please
tell me what you think. Is this understandable? My thought is to
publish it to have income for our Haiti mission. I appreciate
any help with that. There are 4 points: A-D; Numbers 1-12 are 12
Baptist foundational truths every Christian should know well.
Bold Points with an asterisk are Discipleship points. We also
have 16 page with 16 Discipleship Lessons for churches to use
prepared by missionary Rodney Fitzsimmons. If we go to speak at
a church, we may only go once so I want to share as much insight
[as] I can of the love of God and how to live pleasing to Him,
by the grace of God, that is worth believing and telling others.
Thanks for your consideration and input. Rev 12:11 "And
they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb, and by
the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto
the death." Praise the LORD for Victory in our Lord Jesus
Christ. Your sister in Christ, Mary Davis
Email from 1/22/23
Thank you friends and family for your prayer support of
this ministry: Haiti: evangelism in action. We pray for you too
and try to stay in action as God leads. Plans are being made for
2 crusades in February, one in Torbeck with surrounding towns &
cities including churches from Port-au-Prince and one with
church that we went on mission trip with in Port Salut.
Evangelism continues as well as plans for seminars
encouraging evangelism/ discipleship.
In December I had reported how difficult things
were in Haiti. Canada & US were planning to send troops in
against the violent gang control of the country on January
10. When I came home for Christmas , there was no report of
that. I returned to Haiti before that so as not to get
caught in PAP in confusion. But there was none. Apparently
the behind the scene work, maybe agreements and just the
threat caused the gangs to go into hiding and things to
return to near normal with higher cost for everything.
Haitians pray for a government with integrity. One day
things can be better in Haiti because our great God is in
prosess of blessing. I pray for people to be saved and
able to have food to eat.
I finally needed to acquire another motorcycle as we
wore out the one we had after 6 years. We are resuming work
on the rebuilding of Church of Christ on the Rock Baptist
Church in LaSavann, intercity of Les Cayes & will send
photos as progress is made. We continue to go on evangelism
there every Tuesday afternoon. Special requests; Evangelism
team needs Vehicle to transport them. Pastor Prince's son
Junior would very much like to have his own saxaphone. He
is learning to play one in music class. Pastor Prince
struggles to send 6 children to school as well as help
others who ask of him. Thank you for your prayers.
It is God who is working in us for His glory.
1Cor 4:7 "For who maketh thee to differ from
another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now
if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou
hadst not received it?"
1Cor 1:31 "That, according as it is written, He that
glorieth, let him glory in the Lord."
