April 17, 2020
Mary Davis is safe still from COVID-19!
Dear brothers and sisters in
the Lord, as we pray for God's will to be done and plead for
deliverance, we pray for you and your family.
Praise the Lord
we can find comfort in the scriptures: PS 91:9-10. "Because you
have made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the Most High, your
habitation; There shall no evil befall you, neither shall any
plague come near your dwelling."
Here in Haiti we have not
seen any c-virus
cases but 46 are reported. Schools and churches are closed.
People are limited to groups of 10 but none in church. We are
meeting at church in small groups, sitting apart and providing
bleach water to wash hands meeting against threat of arrest.
There is no known virus case in our area. We continue to have
Bible study with converted witch doctor, F_D_ & family. He wants
to start a church there. If the virus gets here it could be very
devastating. We praise God for His deliverance so far but I pray
for the needs of the poor living in slum conditions. God Bless
You. Mary

PRAYER FOR WITCH DR.
I went to my Haitian home very excited about the SCC misson trip.
When I arrived March 13, I got news that on March 12 the voodoo
witchdoctor, (F_D_) who we had witnessed to 2 weeks before had
prayed to receive Christ. Now we have the responsibility to disciple
him with the church we were working there with. We pray for God's
protection of him and us and God's will for an acceptable occupation
for Him so He can truly leave voodoo for the one true living God.
CORONAVIRUS19
So now we are involved in further spiritual
warfare. Thursday, Pastor Prince, Pastor Amos, Southern Baptist
Mission Director for 3 departments of Haiti and myself went to Anes
D'Hanaut to provide a bible seminar on Encouraging Evangelism.
After entering their beautiful sea-front - mountain-view city
after a 7 hour long trip through mountains, we headed 15 minutes up
the mountain to the church for worship service and welcome, but we
were met with community resistance.
Haiti had just heard
there were 2 cases of corona-virus in Haiti connected with white
people. They were convinced the 2 pastors were bringing in a white
person - me- to bring in the virus & hide in the woods. They were
not going to allow it. They threatened to slice the motorcycyle
tires with their macheti and beat us with sticks if we went any
further. After they were aggressive with us again, we went to the
police department. They did too. The police told the pastors, the
people were filled with fear of corona virus, and since no white
people live there, we needed to leave the community.
With no
sleep we took a 3 AM bus and then taptap back to Les Cayes.
Everywhere Haitians are staring at any white people and telling us
to go back to our country. The country is under lock-down again- no
school, no market, no church and gasoline is about to be cut off.
My plan is to take off a week from the public eye and let Pastor
Prince and the pastors we work wih carry on the evanglism and
otherwise seek the wisdom of God & spiritual leaders here.
Possible POSTPONED TRAINING SEMINAR in JUNE
We have a wonderful
plan of training in evangelism for April and May which can be
postponed for June. I don't want to overreact. 1Jn 4:4 "Greater is
He that is in me than he that is in the world."
I pray with
you for our world, for God's will in our world: Peace of God in our
lives through Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit...

Haitian Mission Trip Mar 6-13 from Sanibel Community
Church (island off Fort Myers, FL)
Text:
Dear sisters and brothers of the faith, I praise the Lord for His
care of each one of us.
Please pray for this Haitian mission Team coming. I have the
privilege of joining and ministering with them.
I pray for their safety and for all things to go well for the glory
of God.
The evangelism planned with APEFCA, the evangelistic mission west of
Les Cayes was postponed because of rain and muddy roads until next
Wednesday.
Instead
Pastor Prince, Pastor Colbert, Evangelist translator,
Frantz Almeda and myself went on evangelism in Pastor
Colbert's community in Bereaud.
Because it was Carnival Days (Mardi Gra) many people were home.
Four men listened to the gospel but said, Things were well with
them. They did not need to be saved.
We reminded them of the eternal penalty or judgment for sin -
eternal death and that Jesus had paid the penalty for sin when He
died on the cross and shed his sinless blood, the only thing that
can wash away our sin, to pay the penalty for sin.
It is a gift but each person must put their faith in and receive
Christ and what He has done in order to count for them.
Even when Jesus walked among men, people made excuse and did not
receive Him.
Then we witnessed to another man who said no not now. I asked what
holds him back from being right with his God?
He said he was involved in voodoo but periodically reads a Bible.
Ebel Compere asked us to pray that he would leave demons and
come to Christ.
We shared the gospel with a Catholic woman,
Clomie Laixama
who said she would always be catholic.
I said, The Bible doesn't tell us to be Catholic or Protestant. It
is by putting your faith in Christ and calling on Him to save you.
Don't you want to be right with God, God's way? She said yes and
called on Jesus to save her.
Then Pastor Colbert took us down a lane where some of the household
went to his church.
One man said he goes to the Catholic Church but he would listen to
the gospel.
He said he would visit Pastor Colbert's church. We had 2 witness
going on there.
Young people,
Maurice and Carmelle Belance, Yervil and Cyssie
Yivenson, Pierre Sterline, Ketlin Cherisar and Cherilas Oslin
prayed to accept Christ.
Frandzy Lavictoire rededicated his life to the Lord.
Praise The Lord
May God richly bless you as you yield your life to Him, Mary.

[Dear friends and family,]
Thank you for your prayers and special contributions to this
ministry in Haiti.
Every day is a new exciting time because "God's mercies are new
every morning".
PTL for 25 people who prayed to accept Christ and 4 who recommitted
their life to the Lord including going back to attending church.
Our evangelism is built around going out with the pastor or church
teams so they can follow up in their church area.
Every week we are going out on evangelism with Pastor Senat in
inter-city and Pastor Jeudi in Les Cayes, Pastor Colbert in Bereaud,
and Pastor Badette's team (north), new church, past airport of Les
Cayes.
We are rotating these with other churches when they are added.
We participated at a Bible conference in Achin (east) after having
an evangelism training with them.
It is exciting to see pastors get interested in evangelism for their
area.
After speaking at a meeting of APEFCA mission (south-west of Les
Cayes) we are having our first day of evangelism
Feb 26 (Carnival Days) with the pastors of the churches in that
area. We got to speak 10 minutes at a meeting of 100 pastors of the
Association of Protestant Pastors. They want to continue to plan for
another Les Cayes citi-wide time of evangelism Nov 1 &2 2020. I am
to have a Ladies Training in Encouraging Evangelism Feb 29. We pray
for God to help stop the violence & kidnapping in Port-au-Prince and
that it doesn't spread to Les Cayes or other cities of Haiti &
America too.

MARY DAVIS EMAIL REPORT 1/22/20
Dear friends and family,
It was great to spend time with you this past
month.
Thank you for every gift for reaching more people in Haiti for
Christ and every act of kindness directed this way.
Thank you for contributions for Bibles. You
are a blessing in my life and I pray I would be a blessing in your
lives.
It is always exciting when I return to Haiti.
We take a fresh look at the ministry, pray and begin to make plans
for next few months I am there.
The Haitian people seem to be glad God is
working in their midst. There are many opportunities. I will let you
know how God leads us.
I pray for safety and protection in travel and
God's rich blessings for Haiti especially for those who are hungry
for food or spiritually hungry for God's Word. -- Mary Davis
=====
12/5/19:
Thanks for prayers. I am praying for you too.
For the 2nd time we were held up by gunpoint for money (2015) by outlaws. I gave one a Bible. When I started to pray, one said let them go. As we share the gospel in the innercity, shack to shack, I have compassion for these destitute families. People are hungry. Food from US went to Port Au Prince but did not seem to come to Les Cayes.
In Mt 9:36 Jesus saw the multitudes & was moved with compassion because they were weary (trying to survive) & scattered abroad as sheep with no shepherd.
They need the one true God. I pray too for the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers into His harvest to bring people right with Himself.
30 accepted Christ in last month. Many others considering "the only way" to be right with God, according to the Bible, by faith in Jesus Christ.
As we walk the streets with compassion and the gospel, young people who speak English are offering to go with me. One is Pablosso Polyte.
Pastors in inner-city churches are inviting us to teach the 3-hour training on encouraging evangelism in their churches.
We are distributing the NT Bibles in this area. 20 will go to a small church where only 1 person has a Bible. God is blessing this ministry. I pray for a young man or young couple with compassion to continue this ministry in Haiti.
Because of Him who was born to save us, Mary. [email her directly for the quickest delivery of her updates and thank you very much for ! mary4haiti@gmail.com
=====Nov
Nov 1&2 [Our] city-wide evangelism days [for] Les Cayes are postponed. With unrest in Haiti, the churches, though interested in participating, were not ready to do so. However 5 people went out.
We saw manifestations to block roads by burning tires, trees & garbage. People were hungry and wanted food not gospel tracts. We prayed with them for God to meet their needs.
There were 28 decisions for Christ. PTL.
We gave Haiti this message:
_____
Whereas: There is a God in heaven who says:
Isa 45:22 "Look unto Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth"
_____
Whereas: God tells us the way: 2Chron 7:14 "If My people which are called by My name, shall humble themselves & pray, & seek My face, & turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, & will forgive their sin, & will heal their land."
Ps 27:8 "When you said 'Seek My face', my heart said, Your face Lord will I seek."
_____
Whereas: Haiti has sought help from other nations to help them solve problems of corruption, hunger, poverty, insufficient education, & medical care while we are in danger of outlaws & vandalism:
_____
Whereas: Jesus said, John 15:5 " ..You can do nothing without Me". John 14:6 " ..No man comes to the Father but by Me."
_____
Whereas: "We come, with repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ," & We come as "the Body of Christ, the Church."
_____
Whereas: "We take this stand: We invoke God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son, and the Holy Spirit to break the hold of unrighteousness over Haiti."
=====
Therefore: We look for God's perfect will for Haiti:
Jer 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
=====
Therefore: We plead with Les Cayes and all Haiti:
Seek the one true living God.
Stand in faith, praying, trusting God.
Then, See what God can do through a nation that "seeks His face".
Living by faith, Mary
October 25 (God) removes kings and sets up kings" Dan 2:21. The conflict continues as many people protest for the president of Haiti to leave. There seems to be a standoff. He says he will finish his term but has not done anything about problems since cities have been cut off for last 7 weeks: no gas, no school, limited access to city markets or hospitals, risk of outlaws; and protesters will not give up their hold of the cities.
Please pray for 2 day evangelism in Les Cayes Nov 1 & 2 in spite of protest planned for those secular celebration days.
50,000 gospel tracts have arrived from Fellowship League. May God get glory in it.
PTL: 37 decisions for Christ in October.
God bless you. Mary
Oct 2 "Les Cayes and other cities are under siege by opposition to the president.
UN is mediating with both sides. Everything is escalating this coming weekend.
We pray for God's perfect will in the situation. Sorry to hear of Pres Trump dilemna.
Pray all is well with you. May God bless us all. Mary"
Sept 25 --- "We continue to struggle from shortage of gas. An additional problem is that protesters are trying to force the president to leave by pressure of not allowing children to go to school.
In Les Cayes there is presence of UN to control violence in the street.
Lord willing we continue to pray and plan for 2 day evangelism in Les Cayes Nov 1-2.
We experienced a small earth tremor today. Praise God He is control of all things.
Since the 11 voodoo priests came from Africa to rededicate Haiti to the devil, Aug 14, and voodoo Haitians received them, Christians prayed but God may let them have the devil and withhold blessings. Our church had a week of prayer for Haiti and asking God's forgiveness.
I am encouraging them to lovingly share truth of salvation in Jesus Christ with all including Voodoo. Voodoo can't hurt the Christian because we are in Christ. PTL. Prayn4u2
Mary from my T-Mobile 4G LTE Device "
Sept 12 --- "We stand in that faith. Rebels in Port-au-Prince by gunpoint are not letting gasoline trucks come to Les Cayes for two weeks. This brings Les Cayes almost to a standstill. When a truck does get here, there are congested lines of trucks & vehicles trying to get the gas.
Merchants sell the gas by a beer bottle for 3-4 times the price. Our Bible seminar to be 150 was 70 people. A training of 300 was 2 & is rescheduled. We did another training in evangelism in a church Sunday afternoon for 10 members then went on evangelism for 45 minutes and led 1 young man to the Lord. PTL
On the way home we ran out of gas & there was none to buy. We walked from the main road 1-2 miles back to the church for pm service. When we needed to go to a meeting for planning on 2 day evangelism we went by tap tap (pick up truck for public transportation).
Previously, I had invited a MEBSH pastor leader, Pastor Chery, who recognized me while I was on evangelism, to join the evangelism team. So there is now a team of 4 pastors organizing the Les Cayes outreach: Pastor Emilio, president & Pastor Altima, member assoc protestant pastors, Pastor Chery, MEBSH, and Pastor Senat, CMBH. They want to have a celebration time in the evening of Nov 1 & 2 to praise God for results.
Pastor Prince & I will continue in evangelism and trainings as requested. Please pray for Gods will in His world & here. God bless you.
Mary"
Mary Davis report (AUGUST 26,2019 EMAIL)
Aug 26 Last report was of 11 voodoo priests kings who came from Africa to rededicate Haiti to the devil. We know God is greater than anything they can do. During that time the Christian Churches were holding 3 days of praying and fasting. We continue to take the gospel in the Les Cayes surrounding area: 12 decisions in August; Encouraging evangelism: Training for 60 people in east Les Cayes. Training for west Les Cayes and Bible seminar for 150 pastors and leaders next week. Thanks for prayer for Christians to stand for Christ in Haiti and everywhere! Amen? 9707 Thanks for contributions for Bibles, New Testaments, John-Romans shipping cost, gospel tracts and copies of Creole Seminar outlines. Thank you for those who contributed wedding dresses to encourage Christian marriage here. Victory in Jesus in all we do we pray. Mary>/font>
July 7,2019, Thank you for your prayers as I pray for you also. On July 5th, it was exciting to set foot in America, as I go from one world way to another. I am here for a month, then God willing, I will return and continue to work with Haitian pastors, encouraging evangelism and preparing together for the Two-day city-wide evangelism of the city of Les Cayes, population approx 125,000 November 1 & 2, 2019.
We want to share the gospel and blitz them with tracts and John-Romans of Word of God. Would you pray and consider to help us by contributing to shipping expense of $65.00 shipping cost per 300 copies of John-Romans to Agape Flights FL or $2.75 per pound to ship and pay import tax to Les Cayes, Haiti? Also tracts in language of Haitian Creole can be sent to our package shipping address: Mary Davis CAY 28861, c/o Agape Flights, 100 Airport Ave E, Venice FL 34285.
Any correspondence or contributions go to mailing address 17264 San Carlos Blvd 302 128, Fort Myers Beach FL 33931. Thank you for your consideration.
Thank you for your prayers and contributions for New Testaments and Bibles in Haitian Creole and wedding dresses for the Ladies Project to help Christian couples to get married. I have distributed Creole New Testaments in 4 churches to people who have no Bible or New Testament in their home. I continue to prepare and plan to distribute the Word of God to Haitian people as I take the Gospel to them. God blesses as His children work together, yielded to His guidance, and that is what we want to do.
Mary.
Mary Davis Ladies' Helps Ministry
Bridal Garments Promoting Haitian Marriage
Before I return to Haiti next month [February 2019] Lord willing, besides bringing Bibles, I have been asked to participate in bringing wedding garments for the Christian woman's project. In Haiti it is very expensive to have a wedding so many couples live together without marriage. If one or both of them get saved, they cannot follow in baptism in that arrangement. The Pastor's wives are starting a project to provide wedding garments to be used by the needy couples to help them with this expense so they can do the right thing before God. So I am praying for contribution of used wedding garments to assist them. Thank you for your prayerful consideration.
The Wedding Dress by Mary Davis
A young bride carefully packs her wedding dress. It was the most wonderful day of her life - her wedding day. But now the wedding dress is put away and later sent away.
In Haiti a young couple are living together and they have a child together now six years old. Because of the cost, marriage has been impossible. The young woman begins to suffer from illness and demonic attack as she loses control of her senses periodically. Other people beat on her to tell the demon to leave her.
An older missionary has the wedding dress from her daughter in USA. The missionary talks with the young woman, by means of a translator, who is the pastor of the Church. She talks with the young woman about putting all her trust in Jesus and sincerely calling on Him to save her. After that she talked with the couple about how they must be right with God in marriage.
They agree but in despair relate that they have no money for the expense of a wedding. The missionary and the pastor told the couple they would help them with the cost of the wedding and the missionary has the wedding dress.
Then the missionary instructed her about what to do when demonic activity presented itself.
James 4:7 "Submit yourself to God, resist the devil and he will flee."
Be right with God; resist the devil in the name of Jesus and the devil will go.
The couple was married in the church. When a demon presented itself, the bride told it to "Go" in the name of Jesus
and she has been free of illness and demonic activity since her wedding day.
Praise The Lord! Bless His Holy Name. Victory in Jesus, now & forever. May God bless YOU as you live for Him. — Mary
