Dear beloved family and
friends,
With each passing year, your
letters and cards take on new
loyalty and appreciation to us.
Thank you for your faithful
friendship to us.
This year has brought to
some influential changes. We
are so very thankful to God for
His blessings, and so often we
feel so unworthy to receive of
His kindness with such
generosity.
For six years now, Chris has
home-schooled David and
Joseph. I have felt this was such
a fitting thing for her especially
since she spent the best 15 years
teaching others. But recently I
realized that sometimes we get
too used to God's goodness, and
loose our appreciation for His
favors.
Secondly, we are in a very
blessed area for the opportunities
available. I am so very grateful
for the training I received at Bob
Jones University. And there is a
really good school in our area
with all BJU Grads as teachers.
It has an excellent principal. It
provides greatly enlarged
laboratory opportunities and
social training disciplines our
family needs. Also, I can see
great potential in our sons to
become great and mighty men
for God's kingdom in such a
setting.
Thirdly, I have realized that the
business God has given me is a
true stewardship. He has truly
blessed us through it.
Unfortunately I have
over-looked some of the needful
ingredients to assure a lasting
flavor that will provide for us in
our later years of life. It is time
that we focus as a team more
upon it to use it as a
stewardship.
For these reasons we have
enrolled our children in
Hartford Christian Academy of
Farmington Avenue Baptist
Church in West Hartford. It
requires me to drive the kids 44
miles each day. However, it
affords me "daddy time" every
day. We read on a daily Bible
reading schedule in the
mornings and then talk about
how to understand the Bible as
we read it. In the afternoons we
usually listen to a really good
Christian kid's radio program,
and talk about what happened
at school each day.
The boys are learning a lot
and I am so grateful they can
attend such an excellent school.
This is a blessing I never really
had growing up.
This also frees up much time
for Chris to do more for our
business, and even more
importantly, visitation for
church.

America
Not long after our new routines
began, we found ourselves
cleaning carpets and furniture
for a whole house near the
airport on September 11. As
those morning hours passed, we
witnessed the nation-changing
events of that day with unbelief
that people could so coldly
commit themselves to such a
well-planned ill-deed.
But what it has done to
revive American unity and
patriotism is truly astounding!
When talking with many people
about it and why God would
allow such deeds to take place is
hard to answer.
But I made an interesting
observation: Of all the
comments made about the CT
natives listed as missing by the
local news in a 20+ page paper
I got from the internet, there
was only ONE reference to a
church, and NONE about God
or the Bible! Would God let
something like this happen to
influential world renown
financial chiefs? When so little
is said about spiritual matters,
maybe He would be willing to
allow this kind of tragedy.
We were really encouraged to
hear there were believers who
died ready to meet their Savior.
There were believers whom God
sovereignly protected as well.
Our school principal had a
meeting that day at the White
House. He apparently saw the
low flying plane that hit the
Pentagon! Perhaps the PA
-crashed plane was headed there!
I have taken many opportunities
to witness because of this, and
give out many of my tracts.
Chris' Corner
I thank God that we could
re-do the boy's room this past
summer. We tore out two walls
to insulate the room. We then
replaced the ceiling and walls.
We also built a closet.
God provided a Christian
brother (in the Lord) to help us
repair our bathroom floor and
piping.
God continues to bless us
in His unique ways. After doing
a carpet job, my husband was
given pumpkins and two kinds
of squash. We have eaten a lot
of pumpkin pies and we have
given away almost as many
pies. I was happy that one of
my girls in Sunday School prayed
to be saved last month.
Please pray for our assistant
pastor's wife. Sara Prigge just
gave birth to a baby with
Down's Syndrome. I believe
that they, as well as the church
folks, will love the baby. They
have done an excellent job of
training their other two
children.
May god bless and guide
you.
Love,
