Ps 16.11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in Thy presence is fulness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Dear Family and Friends,

Dear beloved ones, we greet you again after a full year of growing together in the fuller years of our family. Our children are now aged 18 and 14! It doesn’t seem possible that time can pass by us so quickly: This year was a year of anniversaries for the Lanyons. On August 13 Pat and Chris celebrated 19 years of marriage. On August 26 Pat celebrated 25 years in East Hartford. He moved here from Temple Baptist Seminary in Chattanooga. On October 19 Glory Cleaning Service celebrated 20 years of full-time cleaning for offices and residences in East Hartford. Five years ago we celebrated Ownership of Our Home, which totally removed us from indebtedness! We are thankful for full years of God’s blessings. We have seen God bless with growth and prosperity that has enabled us to live for Him all these years in CT.

Our Family.

Pat

1) Business blessings: 2 stable dependable part-time employees overseeing about 30 hours of work for us each week. 2) Further education for our boys in cleaning schools: David is fully certified as a carpet cleaning technician, but is preoccupied with his proper focus: the senior year of high school. Joseph has been exposed to the cleaning certification program, and we hope he will become certified perhaps next year.

3) In March our Sunday School completed a program entitled Changed into His Image, which is a Seminar-styled study of Sanctification from Scripture by Dr. Jim Berg,( a professor and Dean of Men at Bob Jones University) known by Pat from his BJU years (‘73-‘77). It has been so powerful that Pat has purchased the books for Christine, David, Joseph, Grandma Mary, Uncle Gary, Brother Bernie, Aunt Mary as well as several others of our family, coworkers and ministry friends.

4)Pat teaches a weekly Bible study at Westside Care Center in Manchester to disciples our Brother Bernie and others. He has purchased videos, books and other ministerial support sources for use there and other places. He is trying to encourage as many there who will to get involved in Bible reading, study, and evangelism. He is now teaching a survey of the books of the Bible. He also presented a study on A Daily Prayer Notebook which is based on the Lord’s prayer. It can be viewed online at www.aprayernotebook.net/ and also includes Sermons by Pastor Rowley, Kevin and Debi Daly, Dr. Jim Berg links, and some missionary helps we have done for the Terry Washers in Kenya, the Yann Jouans going to Cameroon, as well as other projects.

5) In late March, Pat and Chris attended TBC’s Marriage conference by Kevin Daly. Immediately he came to TBC and followed up with his Christ Life Conference. The conference was so thrilling! Pat also put online the audio files and the pdf document to follow along. We encourage you to see and hear them for yourself too!

6) In August our family was given a time-share Week in West Yarmouth, MA for a Cape Vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed the week and also brought along bicycles to ride while there. Pat and the boys rode most of a 25 mile biking trail from the Coast Guard Beach on the Cape. Joseph found a pile of bikes and parts being discarded by a shop. Thus we brought home a van full of bike parts for him!

7) At TBC Pat serves with joy as Building Cleaning Supervisor, assisting our secretary as clerk and, among other quiet duties, acting as the Beggar in our Cantata, If Jesus Had Not Come.

Chris

She is the Queen of our family! Her reign includes the following roles which she performs with grace and beauty: cleaning helper, bookkeeper, school proctor, great cook and homemaker, garden planter, bulletin board keeper, cheerful greeter with cards (for special occasions for family, friends and church families), nursing home ministries, an overall encourager to cleaning clients, church ladies, and family close and far. Pat and Chris have witnessed while cleaning.

Grandma Wise –We are concerned about her health: heart, knee pain.

David

Likes palm pilots and helps many people with theirs. He is an author/ illustrator of two 100 page books. David loves singing and listening to high quality music on his Treo phone given to him by Pastor Harper. Singing in choir, participating in Teen Group activities, and receiving discipling by Pastor Harper have filled his life.
He endured the removal of 4 impacted wisdom teeth in November.
David loves to call up: Jonathan Goodell, Johnny Burchard, and Grandma Wise

Joseph – Our joyful son loves to fix up discarded bikes and give them away. He has endured braces. The Wilds Camp was a highlight . Joseph has been a witness to neighbors.

House News

City water is a blessing. A blower for leaves is a relief.

Three car accidents have occurred in front of our house. It is not comforting to see a car come toward the bed room when the bed is next to the window. Only minor damage to the yard was done on two accounts. God is our protection. May God bless and guide you as you serve Him.

Love in Christ,

From Pat, Chris, David, and Joseph Lanyon.
